Well, still don't know why can't attach a file that's 5 or 7 mb when it says largest is 8mb but: I figured out the problem with my Markforged_XZ addition to marlin. It now operates the same as _XY does except with the z axis instead of y axis. If anyone is interested let me know.by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
Hey all. I.ve had a couple topics on Markforged_XZ and found the new marlin had Markforged_XY added. I decided to go thru the code and see if XZ would be hard to add. I actually added it and installed it on my machine. My machine is not markforged_XZ yet but when moving the x axis it moves correctly by itself. When moving the z axis it moves and the x axis moves also like it should. All's wellby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I found out in another post the name of Markforged XY kinetics and now looking for some more information on it. I see in the latest release marlin has the markforged xy now included. Does anyone know if markforged XZ will be implemented anytime in the future? I've been doing a lot of searching and have not found any information on it. I did find that it looks like klipper has now put it in the soby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
Hum, I wonder what it would take to change it to XZ? Maybe just change all references about Y to Z? Edit I couldn't find any reference to markforged in my marlin. The config.h file is #####006 and I found the newest marlin config.h is #####007 and it is in there. I guess that means it was just added recently. Is there any chance that there could be a markforge XZ in the near future? Iby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
OK, I made my printer and the x axis slides across a rail that moves up and down for the z axis. The stepper is on the rail that moves up and down so I used a 14 stepper to keep weight down when it was up high to stop any shaking. I'd like to use a 17 and mount it at bottom but can't figure out yet how to compensate for the rail moving up and down with stepper not.by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I guess to put it another way would be is there a way to move the x stepper a proportional amount whenever the z stepper moves?by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
Hi all, don't know if this is a crazy question or not. If I had a pulley on a sliding plate driven by a stationary stepper "x" and belt looped around the pulley. Slide is pulled back and forth with another stepper "z". The problem is when the slide is moved by the stepper "z" the pulley would turn as it moves up and down the belt. Is there a function in marlin to turn the "x" stepper to compensaby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I've been looking at Marlin servo.cpp file and even though the description for DISSABLE_SERVOS_AFTER_MOVE says it removes power from the servos, it seems to look like it removes the signal from the servo pwm pin to disable the servo. Can anyone verify whether I'm correct or not on this? As far as I remember about servos, I think if you remove the signal it will not move at all. Thanksby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
Another servo question I can't seem to find any explanation is the DISSABLE_SERVOS_AFTER_MOVE. Does this work with the SKR V1.4 board and what does it do? From what I found it is supposed to shut off the 5V for the servos. The only dedicated servo port is for the bltouch and I don't want to shut that off. I plan on defining another pin for use with a second servo. Is there a controllable 5V pin fby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I'll look at it and try it today and see what it does.by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I've been searching but not found anything yet that helps. I have a custom made printer using a SKR V1.4 turbo board, 1 extruder, 5 steppers, hotbed heater, bltouch and pwm fan. I want to use another servo motor using PWM. As far as I can find out it looks like I can use EXP2 pin 6 or 8(3.25 - 3.26) for this. Could someone help me understand how to set up marlin to use this pin and how to setby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
Hi all, I have my custom printer working pretty well now and I'm experimenting with the Junction deviation settings along with linear advance. Articles on lin advance talk about the extruder jerk settings. With junction deviation it says the jerk settings are disabled and the M503 only shows the J value. The question is does JD control the jerk on the extruder also or does the extruder jerk seby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
If you are saying the resis on the thermistor is 5.6 then it is no good. Normal resis for it should be 100K. What is the temp reading at room temp?by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
Manual with 3 points.by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I had the same problem. PlatformIO upgraded itself and they changed the module. You can just download the latest marlin version and use that but I figured I would have to reset all the settings. So I downloaded the latest version and deleted the buildroot folder in my current version and replaced it with the buildroot folder from the new version. It then would buid correctly without having to redby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I have a home built printer with a SKR V1.4 turbo control board with Marlin firmware. I'm trying to set up the bed leveling. According to the docs G29 S0 is supposed to print out the stats of the bed leveling. When I give thew G29 S0 command it immediately moves to the first position and starts the leveling process. If I continue with the three points it ends with this printout: Send: G29 S2 Reby Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
I'm a little new also but have cnc experience. Can you explane how the z axis does the homing? Is there an endswitch and is it on top or bottom?by Mustang66 - Firmware - Marlin
