Quotedc42 You need to define all the driver assignments using M584, see . Note, M584 does not change the endstop connector assignment, so you should leave the endstop wiring alone. Thank you for the help, I have not been able to mess with my printer due to my recent spinal surgery. I will give this a go when I am able to. I am also moving from Texas to Tennessee on the second of Jan. So I am onby Kevin37 - Duet
Quotedc42 If you are concerned about the drivers, you could use M584 to swap the X motor output with the extruder. Now does the M584 automaticly switch everything over and all I have to do is switch the stepper plugs?by Kevin37 - Duet
So I hooked it up direct without an extention and still the same. Im thinking that it has to do with the config, if not its a faulty driver, which is weird seeing that both extruder ports are having the same symptoms. This also points me to the config. I am not sure how to use the config generator and have been using one from thingivers for the d-botby Kevin37 - Duet
Quotedc42 Are you using the same cable with the new motor, or did it come with wires already attached? The problem has to be in the motor (which you have replaced), the driver (but you have tried the other driver output), or the cable and connector. It came with wires and I crimped and made a new connector, but it was not long enough so I used the same wire to extend it. I soldered a male connecby Kevin37 - Duet
I have been packing to move and haven't had the time to mess with the printer, but I did get the new stepper this is the one I got (https://www.amazon.com/Torque-Bipolar-Stepper-Motor-Extruder/dp/B00PNEQUZ2/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=yo_ii_img) The thing is that it is still doing it with the new stepper? I am at my wits end and have no clue as to what I can doby Kevin37 - Duet
Quotedc42 I just looked at your video again. Looks like you have clamped the body of the motor to an extrusion at the side of the motor. That's not a good idea. Unless the screws that hold the motor together are very tight, the body of the motor will move relative to the front and back, and the rotor may bind on the stator. I suggest you remove the filament and the lever arm, disconnect the motorby Kevin37 - Duet
At first when I took the stepper of the frame it still did the same thing, then I lowered the current back to 800 and it worked fine. I made a new mount and it was working flawless. Until I did my test print! Then it started again, I will proceed to checking the connector and the motor shaft and we will see what I come up with. I wil wait until Friday due to the holiday. I may just buy a high torby Kevin37 - Duet
Yes I did and now its working I used some extra aluminum to mill a mount. I'm assuming the way I had it mounted was putting to much pressure on the center of the motor. Im going to put it together ang switch all the wires back and do a test print later. I will report back later today or tomorrow to let you all know how it goes. One good thing came out of all this, I was forces to do perfect cabby Kevin37 - Duet
Never mind on the last post I figured out how to switch them in the config but, I received the same issue which leads me to believe that it has to do with my config maybe? Im not sure I keep taking breathers so I don't break my printer! Lol I hope that it is an easy fix. If one of you find something wrong with my config would you please point it out? I ran a few dry prints with the extruder unplby Kevin37 - Duet
Im not sure how to switch to E1 in the config, do I have to switch the heater and thermistor to? Here is my newest configby Kevin37 - Duet
Im using 1.18.1 because I couldent get the latest firmware to stay connected I kept getting ajax connection errors. I will try switching to E1 and see what happens, I will let you know.by Kevin37 - Duet
The skipping happens even when there is no filament going through it. Yes I fixed the heating issue but this is a very werid issue Iv tried diferent steppers all with out runing filament and all exhibit the same issue. They run goos for a minuite or so then slowly start skipping then dont turn at all just skip. Here is the link it should work now. As you will see in the video the filament isn't iby Kevin37 - Duet
I switched to Duet wifi from Ramps and have been having a few issues, right after I fix one another pops up! The issue I have encountered now is the extruder runs great for about a min. then starts to skip. I posted a video on youtube so you can see what I meen. I have tried bringing the current up and down and get the same result and now matter what I try I can't seem to figure it out. The printby Kevin37 - Duet
So I re-wired everything on the printer which took for ever! but, this was something I had been meaning to do anyway to make everything look more professional and clean. After doing so and testing the board for shorts and coming up short! I still had the fault error and the hotend would not heat. So I was looking at the config on the web interface and couldn't find any errors and saw in the corneby Kevin37 - General
The board is a 1.02 im a little confused now! Lol. How do i check for a short?by Kevin37 - General
I was going through the heater tuning wiki and tried to go through the auto tuning process, I figured it could give me a better starting point as far as the heater portion of the config. After imputing the M303 H0, I received this (Error: heater 0 reported error 'sensor open circuit' at start of auto tuning). I have tore into my printer and rewired everything even replaced the thermistor. I can nby Kevin37 - General
Thank you for the input and I am sorry for posting in the wrong area, as far as the E0 heat LED, no it does not come on when I command it to start heating. I have gone over the wiring at least 50 times and to be honest this is the cleanest my electronics compartment has ever looked! I even labeled the wire connectors and have a Duet WiFi diagram laminated directly above the compartment to referenby Kevin37 - General
I am not at home right now but when I get there I will check and see, I will also post my firmware diagnostic results.by Kevin37 - General
Hi, I am new to Duet wifi and I have been using Ramps 1.4 for 2 1/2 years and the mks sbase for a while now on my custom built corexy remixed d-bot, but I decided to upgrade to duet wifi. I am very new to reprap and even though I have read the wiki like 20 times! I still can't seem to get things going right. I had an issue getting the bed prob configured, I got that sorted. Now I am having an issby Kevin37 - General
Thank you guys for responding so quick, sorry for the late reply I have been really busy and I haven't touch the printer since the day I made this post. I also have a hot end mounted piezo from precision piezo comming in the mail today. So if I have any issues with getting it to work I will let you guys know, its always hard moving to a new platform and learning how to do everything again. I justby Kevin37 - General
I just recently upgraded from Ramps to Duet Wifi with 1.19.3 version Firmware and Web interface and all is working well except when I home all axis the bed crashes into the hotend. I am using a custom corexy printer that I designed from 1 3/4 aluminum extrusions 300 x 300 x 500. I am using a PNP inductive sensor hooked up to the z-probe-in port with a LM7805 to lower the voltage, this has workedby Kevin37 - General
Here is a copy of my configuration.h from marlin #ifndef CONFIGURATION_H #define CONFIGURATION_H #include "boards.h" // This configuration file contains the basic settings. // Advanced settings can be found in Configuration_adv.h // BASIC SETTINGS: select your board type, temperature sensor type, axis scaling, and endstop configuration //=======================================================by Kevin37 - CoreXY Machines
This is my first time designing and building a custom corexy printer with Ramps 1.4 and Arduino mega. I just finished wireing and did my first test print, It seems to move to the right on the x axis when it is supposed to be moving down on the z axis. I'v uploaded a video to show the issue on YouTube. Any advice would be great. Here is the link to the video. (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=itaKZby Kevin37 - CoreXY Machines
