Hi, Thanks for the software looks very useful. I have just tried to do something I have been dying to do and am unsure whether I have missed something (or if it is even possible) -can you add layers out of sequence? for example I would like to print inside a well array so I need the printhead to move up, across and down inbetween printing each item in each well. I am also syringe printing fluidby isotone - General
Hi, Firstly thanks for the great program! One problem that I am starting to have is that I have a lot of different settings, some with quite long names, and I cannot see the end of them as there is no tooltip on the dropdown boxes or way to widen the relevant UI column. So I have to select two identical settings and check which is which manually, which is annoying. Anything I've missed or helpby isotone - Slic3r
Ah ok thanks a lot, I must've misunderstood the purpose of the Z offset in slic3r. I will just edit the Z home position in the firmware for each printing end I am unsure of how to change EEPROM settings (have a mendel90 with a melzi) rather than firmware, I will have a look around but if you have any how-to links that would be appreciated cheers!by isotone - Slic3r
Hi, I have just got a new hotend built which is a little longer than the previous one, and I am unable to get slicer to change the point at which it thinks the bed is. It continually tries to go past the bed (have removed it for calibration). My firmware has got its own offset, is this overriding it, is it a bug (fixed in RC2?) or am I doing something wrong? I have tried many different offseby isotone - Slic3r
Hi guys, I am having some strange problems with two designs of interlocking tiles/chainmail off thingiverse, using a Mendel90 & Slic3r 0.9.10b. The first is this one; and for the life of me I cannot get to slow down past the skirt, it just seems to ignore any speed I put in the printer settings in Slic3r and go far too fast to be useful. never had anything like this problem before! the sby isotone - General
Thanks Xabbax! most 3mm filaments are 2.8-3.1 so that is perfect.by isotone - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Wow great work! Do you think it would be a simple matter of scaling everything up by the correct amount to get a 3mm filament extruder, including the heaters? also I'm not sure if I understand how you can get a 1.7mm extrusion from a 1mm hole as per your last post, is that right? thanks!by isotone - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Over time you may either be depositing a patchy monolayer (or slightly thicker) of polymerised ABS, or even one of the three unpolymerised ABS monomers onto the Kapton tape, as well as the tape acquiring microscopic or nanoscopic pits and troughs from heating & cooling, printing on etc, that act as invisible wells for material, which then subsequently polymerises with or otherwise bonds to yoby isotone - General
Hi everyone, Have now got our excellent Mendel90 built and running thanks to this forum, nophead and all previous iterators, we primarily bought it (aside from it being awesome) because of the ease of swapping hotends & syringes as we are planning to print a few different novel materials, I want to try some extremely small nozzles and the smallest J-head I can find is 0.35mm, but there are pby isotone - General
