Leaf Labs produces a board that appears to be an Arduino alternative. To my understanding, it accepts Arduino native code and has pins arranged in a way to be compatible with current Arduino shields as well (Not Mega). Haven't found anything on the internets about this board and Reprap, so i thought i'd post here and see if there was anyone doing anything with it. I bought one and hope to crby CidVilas - Next Wave Electronics Working Group

@SebastienBailard: Thanks! Im on it now and am mostly listening in to the conversations at this point. Ill chime in when the time is right. Cheers! @rocket_scientist: I can't say either way, but Pic32 has most of what AVR32 has except it carries more processing power. Pic32 tops at 80Mhz. My real point is that we should really start looking into overkill as far as electronics are concerneby CidVilas - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Pico, Thanks for that link. It should definitely come in handy!by CidVilas - Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
Yeah ill be using 9 total white LEDs, 3 resistors, and forming 3 branches. This is assuming 9V input. 3 AA means 4.5V which means 2 led's max, per branch(if that). Need to double check the forward voltage for the led's, but I think they are 2.4V.by CidVilas - Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
Thanks guys for the suggestions! Im definitely looking for something ergonomic like @Rodzite suggested, but also i'd like something printable like @jeffkohrman made. If the two designs could be combined, that would be awesome! It may not be the most efficient way to light the way while running, but its just something i wanted to try out. A headlamp will probably be my primary lighting sourceby CidVilas - Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
Hello! I am in the process of designing a "wearable lighting system", and I need to have a place to attach a 9V battery where it will be secure and preferably water-proof. The attached picture is a concept i was thinking of, but of course its still rough. Anyone out there have 3D design capabilities to make it? The idea is to use this "lighting system" to light up the path while running in thby CidVilas - Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
Are there any people interested in this project? I havent gotten started on this, so there is no code available for others from me, and i havent ran across any code myself either. If you are interested, please post here and send me a Private Message. Then we can discuss the details of this being a possibility. I know Microchip doesnt have the best tools for development, but it would be intereby CidVilas - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Sorry Stas. The price and kit is being sold together.by CidVilas - For Sale
I cannot sell each individually. It will all have to sell together. The price is still $2000 for the set. Thank you for taking a look!by CidVilas - For Sale

Not for Sale anymore. Thanks for all who were interested, but i've decided to keep the kits.by CidVilas - For Sale
Hey everyone! I am interested in purchasing a tested and working extruder for a RepRap Mendel. By tested, i would like to have the skeinforge tweaks and thermistor settings already out of the way. I know this is a lot to ask for, but if someone is willing to provide this i would be extremely grateful. I have a working Mendel, but i dont want to dig into getting an extruder working. I dont haby CidVilas - Wanted
As a follow-up on Makerbot electronics, the newer version (With future compatibility) could be powered by the UBW32. I know i am going to get hell for heading down the path or Microchip or PICs but hear me out. UBW has many MANY pins for anything you might want to do. Its similar to the Sanguino in that it is a 'stick' that can be purchased separately from the motherboard itself, but still caby CidVilas - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
As far as i know, the Makerbot reprap motherboard needs both the 12V and the 5V; even a 3V for the SD card it looks like. I could wire in 2 DC powersupplies or a bulky ATX, but this allows there to only be one external supply. Basically the PicoPSU allows for a drop in replacement of a standard ATX power supply. There are small ATX alternatives, but i didnt feel they were small enough. It wasby CidVilas - Reprappers
Im using the PicoPSU and it works fine. Yeah you need to add some additional items like an external transformer, but the result is a lighter package for the mendel.by CidVilas - Reprappers
Hey Ceti and Adam, I made a mount for a flash light or laser. This mounts on a AitSoft pistol i own. Check out the following link. Reprap is definately capable of some cool things! Also the measurements were taken from the pistol and were pretty tight. When i slipped the printed mount onto the pistol, it was perfectly snug. Also i only had to print once. It came out perfect!by CidVilas - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
Thank you Sebastien. I hadn't found most of those links previously. It looks like some headway has been made already. The biggest hurdle i haven't really seen overcome is the Z lift when moving around between separate objects. Also this could be used in combination with XY motion to introduce pressure as when drawing by hand. Im going to review the articles you linked and get back to askingby CidVilas - Experimental
This may be slightly outside the box of what Reprap is trying to accomplish, but i have a dream of being able to stick a pen mount into a mendel or similar device and having a vector drawing be put down including curves and fills. The following is possible with this capability: PCB Mask: Stick a Sharpie or other marker in and be able to draw your etch mask onto a copper board. By doing this youby CidVilas - Experimental
