newbie question "short"

Hi,

this probably sounds like a stupid question but i gotta ask cause my mendel is on the way and i want to make sure i understand all the build info.

The term "short the wires" appears a few times in the instructions. Does this mean just simply join/wrap the two wires together before attaching them to the circuit boards or xlr mount.

Sorry again if this is a stupid question.

Yes, it means to electrically connect the two wires.
