If it follows the specifications here its a J-head
NB every single J-Head from china/ebay/aliexpress etc is not a J-Head, they have simply stolen the name for their crappy products
Best to get one from the designer (or other known good supplier as listed on the wiki)

I don't know about the aluhotend, but the E3DV6 is a modern and reliable alround hotend, while the J-Head is a proven, but limited, oldie.
If you only want to print PLA i might actually go with the J-Head, but if you plan to use different types of materials get the E3D.
