I need a texture of 50-100 grit of say tungsten carbide or some super hard material for some nut shelling equipment. It must be a rough finish like sandpaper.

The current method is a 2 wire spray, HAI 775 Ni. bond w/ HAI 595, but the coating is inconsistent, wears smooth and don’t last long approximately 150 hours.

Any recommendations on a better process and material would be appreciated

... think about brazing or laser-soldering ...

I just refinished my deck with some stuff from home depot called Deck Restore. It's a very thick acrylic paint with sand or something in it. Comes in 4 gal buckets. You might be able to do something similar with an exterior acrylic or epoxy type paint and add some sand.

Its not for walking on, its internal for shelling, needs to be tungsten carbide and bonded to the steel like plasma spray.

Think I'm on the wrong forum, sorry.
