Heated bed Mk2 with Gen3

I have been googling my eyes out looking for details of how to wire up a Mk2 Mendel heated bed to the old Gen 3 electronics, can it be done the same way as the Cupcake heated bed? all i have found so far is that people have upgraded their electronics. i do not want to do this as i have only just got my gen3 Mendel up and running, and printing some very nice parts!

Ant advice would be very welcome!

Thanks
Steve

This should work better as a mechanical relay will wear out. [reprap.org]

You will also need to make a thermistor input by connecting a resistor and capacitor to an analogue input pin.

Take a look at this [reprap.org] where control of the heated bed is done by the Gen3 extruder 2.2 controller.

Yes. I did this before I got RAMPS and it worked fine. I would recommend a different MOSFET since those ones run really hot if you want to print ABS with a 12V power supply.
