Mendel not working.

Hi there,

I tried connecting to my Mendel through prontface and I get this error: could not open port COM3: [Error 5] Access is denied, although it was working fine yesterday.
I have checked the usb and they're both on COM3 but the baud rate on the device is keeps resetting itself at 9600 as opposed to 115200 on prontface.

It it also worth pointing out that the usb cables gets very hot very quickly and the cooling fan will only work when both the usb and power is plugged in.

Looks like there has been a short circuit and the connector started to melt.
I am still able to connect to the console through usb does that mean the console is fine?

The Marlin firmware has a default baud rate in its program.

For my printer it is 115200. I have run the printer on the highest pronterface setting.

Power supply ------ I can't run my printer without the USB plugged in. If you figure out how to fix, let me know!!!!! I have LCD.

My cooling fan is not working yet. I have it plugged into D9 on the ramps board. I was told it is controlled at pronterface.

Ok, after doing a few resistance test with the voltmeter is seems like I will need a new controller.
