Electronic disturbance (ground loop)?

Halo,

I am building my first RepRap and now testing the electronic with RAMPS 1.4 and Gen7. I have issue with my RAMPS: once I turn on the PSU, my laptop start getting disturbed, its very difficult to control the mouse. If I turn the PSU off, its gone (although still connected to).

Any advice please what causing this and how to remove the disturbance?

AFAIK, RAMPS doesn't properly distinguish between 5V from USB and its own 5V. Not sure how to fix it, though.

If you're only ever going to run your RAMPS connected to a PC (ie: no SD option), then remove the diode that feeds the regulator on the Arduino (D1 on the RAMPS board, under the X and Y steppers).
