Stepper Expander Artwork - How to?
April 10, 2016 08:23PM
Hello,
I have purchased a 3 in 1 hotend for my Mini Kossel printer. I am using a RAMPS 1.4 and guess a stepper expander is required for the additional extruder.
The artwork on the wiki is in JPG format. How do I make a gerber file, a pcb file, a board file for printing? Don't I just need the traces?

Is the stepper expander still up to date? Is there something else?

Here is the link: Stepper Expander Wiki Link

Thanks,
Ed

Thanks - I actually went down that route because I could not figure out how to make traces from the circuit board artwork on the wiki, unfortunately. They are jpeg, not gerber or whatever else..

The CNC shield on top of the RAMPS board on top of the Arduino might make it too tall for my mini kossel's base.

Marlin, 3 extruders, 1 hotend, is tough.

Bumping this: I made a schematic and PCB layout using Eagle.
Currently only x2 version are available.
