Is anyone working on something like this?

Is anyone working on a reprap tool for depositing paper like this printer(mcortechnologies) does? It would be interesting if there was an open-source version we could mess with.

... essentially it's paper-LOM combined with ink-jet colouring.

Paper-LOM was great around 1992/94, then SLA-printing with the finer/homogener details replaced it and the companies vanished.

Don't know, if someone is DIY-ing them, the problem is cutting the sheets, what was first done with CO2-lasers and later with cutting knifes or 'punching' needles ...
