Marlin Firmware and Panelolu2 Problems

First off, not an electrons guy, not a coding guy and not one for updating firmware. Second, this is probably the wrong forum, but it doesn`t look like people check the firmware forums much.

Now the problem i have is, i bought a Panelolu2 from Think3DPrint3D and there are no instructions. i have searched the web and found a blog that instructs me.

[blog.think3dprint3d.com]

I`m usually pretty good at following instruction but i can`t seem to get it to work. I have to use a modified Marlin and some other stuff and upload them, i do what it says and i get his message.

FORCE_INLINE void print(const String &s)

With this as the explaination i guess....

In file included from cardreader.cpp:1:
/Marlin.h:30:22: error: Arduino.h: No such file or directory
In file included from /Marlin.h:37,
from cardreader.cpp:1:
MarlinSerial.h:150: error: expected ',' or '...' before '&' token
MarlinSerial.h:150: error: ISO C++ forbids declaration of 'String' with no type
MarlinSerial.h:169: error: expected ',' or '...' before '&' token
MarlinSerial.h:169: error: ISO C++ forbids declaration of 'String' with no type
/MarlinSerial.h: In member function 'void MarlinSerial::print(int)':
MarlinSerial.h:152: error: 's' was not declared in this scope

I have no idea what this means, i`m not a programmer.

I have moved everthing into the directories as instructed. Any help with this would be aprecciated! I will also try and answer any questions as best i can.

Hi Adam

Which version of Marlin and Ardunio are you using?

Also can you confirm if Marlin compiles fine without the panelolu2 enabled in firmware?

Cheers

It was just an Arduino problem, I was using 1.0.6 instead of 0023. Didn't think it mattered, but all is good now.

That means your using an old version of Marlin. It might be worth getting the latest, depending on what modifications the Think3DPrint3D version has.
