I was having Stability issue while running Slicr3r

Crashes on some STL files
Crash more if more config are saved
Crash in Windows 7 or 8
Crash on 3 diferent PC

Ive try for fun Running Slicr3r In a VirtualBox VM , under Ubuntu
Never crashes , and render time is half the time it was before

Guess is wasn't intended to run in windows at first !

Any other one got similar result or Experiences ?

I run Slicer as part of the Repetier package on Win 8.1 with no issues. Slicer is the least of my worries. :-)

I have found Slic3r to be unstable- when it works it's great, when it doesn't it's a PITA. I have also found that it seems to work most reliably when you compile the source code under linux.

I ran it on an old Netbook running both Linux and Win7 at different times. As long as the STL was manifold (?), the only issue I ever had was the crappy Netbook.

Precompiled package works great on Arch Linux; the self-compiled one doesn't start at all.
