I have recently started building a 3d printer that is very loosely based around the prusa i3, while I was setting up the electronics i plugged the ramps 1.4 board into the arduino mega and all the stepper drivers into the ramps 1.4. I plugged the ramps into the power supply (Xbox 360 power brick, constant 12 volts) and then the arduino turned on and then the ON led faded off. I read some forums and tried removing the d1 diode. I plugged the arduino into 5V USB and it still did the same thing (watch video).
