Nylon requires quite a high temperature to print. The standard throat has a PTFE lining, so this may be too hot for that throat, replace this with an all metal one.
POM may be an excellent alternative, it prints at lower temperatures (I print at 235-240 degC), is really tough and strong and also is "greasy" so this is perfect for bearings and gears. Downside is that is difficult to get it to stick to the build plate.
