This Company modified their CNC router to act as a 3D printer. They have a PDF User Manual for it here. I think the info should be useful. It covers the use of Mach3.by BriComp - Ormerod
Dave, I bought an Aluminium arm from yourself, but the bottom had not been rubbed straight. When I asked about this you and others suggested that I ran the bearing on the face of the aluminium but NO SHIM was supplied. Can you let me have a shim to place on the face of the Al Arm?by BriComp - Ormerod
For DC42 Could it be made possible, in the operating system, for a debug routine to be turned on when required. Then perhaps a debug script could be called periodically to print out various operating parameters. I would think that this might be most useful when debugging problems.by BriComp - Ormerod
T4965 is rated for continuous use up to 100C and intermittent use up to 200C. It would not be rated for use up to 200C if it was going to break down.by BriComp - General
Double Sided Tapes: Bear in mind that these are designed to stay attached when used vertically. Think sticking car number plate on. They will stay stuck with maximum shear force. When being used to hold your bed surface on, there is very little shear force. So don't worry too much about the temperature rating. For instance with the Tesa T4965 it is rated that your "Number Plate" will not fall ofby BriComp - General
Hi Mutley3D Glad the info was useful, Did you contact AllFix or Tesa, the manufacturers? Is the sheet material the same as the rolls? It is expensive though 12mm X 10M seems to be available on Amazon. That will mean a lot to put down in 12mm steps though! I think if you can supply it, with a suitable mark up for yourself, that would be a great service for your customers. Better still if PrintByby BriComp - General
Ah I see. Sorry misread your post. I am afraid I have not built my Ormerod yet so cannot comment upon your problem. Surely there are others here on the forum that can some useful input. Come on Ladies and Gents.by BriComp - General
I'm slightly confused. As I understand it you have the heated bed with Glass on the top of it held down with clamps. You then print onto Kapton tape which is stuck to the Glass. Are you saying that the Glass is Warping, surely not?by BriComp - General

How are you holding down the print bed. Perhaps try with the cheaper double sided tape. This should overcome the warping at the edges as it will be held own over the full surface. Or is it a case that the Heated Bed is warping?by BriComp - General
You could look at ReplikEo. They are based in Hong Kong but run by a couple of Ex Pats (Westerners). They had problems in the early days with shippers but seem to have overcome these problems. I bought an Ormerod2 from them but have not assembled it yet. They charge $249.99 for an i3 Prusa. Here they are Bye the way all the plastic parts are ABS moulded. PS. I just added a dummy order and shippinby BriComp - General
A couple of days ago I listed some tape sold by a company called Affixit. They claimed the tape to be good for 140C. Since then I believe I have found that the double sided tape is made by Tesa and goes under the name of Tesa (or just T) 4965. It is quoted as able to be used up to 200C with a normal use temperature of 100C. For Treito: They have a number of locations in Germany. Tesa Locationsby BriComp - General
During a search yesterday I came across this double sided tape. High Temp Double Sided Tape to 120C and More High performance High temp tape Mutley3D, it might be useful to contact these manufacturers to see if you can do a deal. More product for you, more profit, and a useful addition for your customers.by BriComp - General
If it's "Pretty Good as it Comes" then why are you modifying the stock that you have for the latest Ormerod 2?by BriComp - Ormerod
Yes but the kit that I have is to the latest design so will use the bottom edge will it not?by BriComp - Ormerod
Does that mean that the X-Plates and ribs that I bought for my Ormerod 2 are of little use?by BriComp - Ormerod
I guess it depends what you need the printer for. If it's as a learning device then Replikeo would seem to be the way to go. Should there be any problems ( I am not saying there will be ) you will learn massively from solving them. If you want to produce items as soon as possible then perhaps the RepRapPro way is the way to go. I would query whether a kit build is the best way to go in this casby BriComp - Ormerod
I just put a dummy order through to a German address. The total including shipping (Using EMS Packet-their recommendation) came to 337.27 Euro. So since they are quoting a price in Euro there would be no CC currency charges, saving a further 10Euro.by BriComp - Ormerod
I showed shipping as $56.03 which is 62.26 Euro!! So my sums are correct.by BriComp - Ormerod

I said that the cost of the parts plus shipping and CC charges should be about 366 Euro. I estimated that the all up price (including VAT) would be about 410Euro. The VAT amount will depend upon the declared value and shipping charges. Replikeo under state these to reduce VAT and customs (0 in this case ) charges. Customs charges are not applicable to 3d Printers in Germany. At least so my inforby BriComp - Ormerod
I don't think we will argue about 2.77 euro!!by BriComp - Ormerod
Shipping is only free until you put in a destination. For the UK it is $56. There is no import duty just VAT for 3d printers...at least not according to an internet page I have read. Costs add up as follows Printer $325+shipping $56 (to the UK I assume Germany is similar) + 3% Credit Card Fees =$411 (366 Euro). I estimate that you would pay in total about 410 Euro. Saving about 165 Euro.by BriComp - Ormerod
Hi, I have just received my Ormerod 2 from Replikeo. I bought it from 3dPrintersOnlineStore. It cost me $430 with free shipping. Don't expect 1-5 days shipping that they quote. It was supposed to be sent by DHL but was actually shipped by EMS. That might actually be better since in the past I have been charged £100 for customs handling. The UK post office held on to the parcel for a week before sby BriComp - Ormerod
