Thank you for all your answers, I know that this cannot be patented, and I hope that the posts were just jokes. I am from Germany and we have still a more or less working patent system, where you cannot patent that easy. But still sometimes if somebody form the US tries to make such a joke I start thinking if this could be somehow true We just want to give away some Hotends for independent teby Ikiwi - General
Thank you Ohmarinus, Yes I know that heating blocks should be made out of the right materials, still we decided to use alloy blocks. Let me explain why: Aluminiumlegierungen 75…235 W/(MK) (Brass) Messing 120 W/(MK) We have used a material that can provide us with 180 W/(MK) which is very good. Although because of the small distance the heat has to travel,by Ikiwi - General
Good to know, and yes this is just a China copy but still I must say it is very good for the price one have to pay. Also we needed to check all Hotends We are currently working on a Hotend design of our own. And this fin simply did not make any sense at all for us Thank you all and we will be on Indiegogo this summer with our commitment to the open source community!by Ikiwi - General
Hi everybody, I wanted to ask, for what exactly this littel fin on my metal hotend is? Also i have noticed this fin on other Hotends. This makes them longer and heavier, but for me it is useless! Is it just another mountsystem? If so for which printers? Thank you!by Ikiwi - General
Hello, As you already know the new generation of E3D has a very nice solution for screwing down the feet of the thermistor. I once red, that this was developed by somebody from this comunity. Since we want to produce our own Hot-End (using this feature), we would like to get in touch with designer. Also we want to make some changes and and discuss them with him and compensate for using this iby Ikiwi - General

Dear community, What I need to buy are the plugs that are used with the Nema 17 stepper motors. It reads in the description, that most of the stepper motors have "S6B-PH-K" build in. But after searching this term it only gives me connectors to buy, but what i need are the plugs. And this is somehow impossibe to find for me. Can somebody please tell me what they are called, and where I can ordeby Ikiwi - Controllers
Dear Community! I have a problem, that i cannot solve. Slicer is working fine but when i add support material something strange happens: The Gcode gets mixed up completly: Slicer prints one layer of the object, then 2 layers of support, then again one layer of object one support and 2 layers of the object ..... and so on, you get the point. The Layers are not even and it destroys the printinby Ikiwi - Slic3r
