I'm with couchpilot, was anyone able to grab the x carriage files before they vanished?by Tardisrepair - Reprappers
Hold off on printing the dbrewski e3d v6 carriage mount, an adjustment needs to be made.by Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
Hardware list for dbrewski's E3D v6 direct drive extruder remix This is what I used, I had a lot of this already but bought fresh hardware just in case 1x M4x50 screws (idler tension) 4x M4x30 screws (a little short, might want to try 35-40) 5x M4 nuts a spring for the idler a few M4 washers (optional, use to increase tension on the idler if your spring is to weak, or try toby Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
Stuff is looking good folks, give me a few days. Got a busy Mother's Day weekend ahead. I hope to get new extruder installed Sunday night after work. There may be a few tweaks that need to happen after that. I'd like to thank DBrewski for all his diligent work on this project. He has done a great service for the Folger I3 community.by Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
I had troubles with the green power terminals and had to replace them. They would get hot and power would cut randomly. QuoteSRM NEED HELP !!! Assembled my recenlty received Prusa i3 from Folger Tech. When turned ON, everything seems to be OK. Start to set current on stepper drivers when I got 3 done, the Ramps switched off with no sign of life. Power supply works fine 12 V on both sides. Doeby Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks Krwynn Looked all over but never saw that one. On another note that extruder for the E3D v6 dbrewski added a link to will not work with the stock folger extruder motor gear. The current gear is too large. Off to search for another one.by Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
Thank you for the responses krwynn and dbrewski. I printed one of those extruders, now just waiting on the mail to run. Does anyone know where to get the files for the frame pieces that Folgertech used? We have a CNC at work and I would like to upgrade to a solid wood frame or possibly aluminum. I have found plenty, but none have the Z motor mounts or top Z rod stabilizers.by Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
Has anyone upgraded to an E3D v6 hot end with a direct drive extruder? I want to upgrade but I do not want the added weight of a wade extruder on the x carraige. I've seen some bowden setups but don't want the headache of a bowden, I change colors a lot. So if someone has switched out, please point me in the direction of the extruder you printed out for the E3d Thanksby Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm having the same problem, screen lights up but thats it. I've tried jherreras suggestion but to no avail. Also watched the Tom's guide on youtube I am open to suggestions please Could someone post what that section of their configuration.h file looks like. Thanks Finally got it, I had to delete the " // " in front of the #define reprap_...... right under the hyperlink in the config hby Tardisrepair - General
I got my kit yesterday, I got the frame assembled last night and used blue locktight on all the screws. Everything snug and no cracks. This morning I get up and there are cracks at every screw location, the only thing I can think of is that it shrank slightly as the garage got cold overnight. My question is: should I try to repair while still assembled or should I take apart? I'm afraid tby Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
Hello everyone Thanks for the thread, tons of great information here. My kit should be arriving in about a week, this will be my first 3d printing venture. Can anyone confirm what was stated earlier in the thread.... that the Folger configuration file works correctly. Thanksby Tardisrepair - Prusa i3 and variants
