Thanks for being an asshat and zero help. If I wanted to source parts from all over the world and pay border and customs fees on every little piece that would defeat the purpose...by Hephaestus0000 - General
I finally have some time to myself. Before anyone asks, at the current Canadian dollar the FT5 comes to approx $1000 CAD after conversion, shipping, taxes, and border/custom fees. No Folgerturd product is worth $1000CAD. I'd rather build my own with better parts for $1000CAD or a folgerturd quality equivalent for less. I like the design (I'm sure there are better) of the FT5 and I'm having diffby Hephaestus0000 - General

QuoteKoenig QuoteHephaestus0000 I'm also curious about one of your previous comments about changers my "retect on layer chage" from 1 to 0. QuoteKoenig QuoteHephaestus0000 QuoteJamesK I see in the config seam_position = aligned, is the seam on the problem corner? No the seam is actually at the opposite corner. Okay. Here's the finished print after that slicer change. view is looking at the top of the print. the top right corner is the "problem" corner. I must say that I had ZERO over extrusion so that problems SEEMS to have been solved. (At least for this print) but as you can see, my perimeters are not straight and this does leave the problem corner (and others) to bulge slightly. also the perimby Hephaestus0000 - Printing

QuoteDownunder35m Although some might not like it but anyway: I think the problem with your prints is over extrusion. Especially if finer layers get worse. Keep in mind that a layer height below 0.1mm requires a perfect extruder calibration as otherwise there is always too much or too little plastic. After the initial calibration using digital calipers I finetune the extrusion using solid infillsby Hephaestus0000 - Printing

Quotedeaconfrost the only thing I can tell you is I worked my way up slowly adjusting the settings starting fom 40mm/s and observe the changes of the result and adjust, again and again and again, think it was about 3 to 4 weeks of trying different settings and layer heights before I got to the result I feel acceptable. Quotedeaconfrost I printed this with FolgerSHIT i3 as well but at 150mm/s, but MK3 bed, Genuine E3D v6, Greg Wade Bowden Drive, and use newer firmware configured from scratch with autobed leveling enabled I have't tried any faster yet, 150mm/s is good enough for me for now p.s. leadscrew upgrade and this and that, its not really a FolgerSHIT anymore TBH and that hammer was printed with ABS bby Hephaestus0000 - Printing
QuoteJamesK Cubes aligned with XY are hard because at the corner one axis has to go from Vjerk to 0 instantly while the other goes from 0 to Vjerk instantly. The entry and exit to the corners also have to decelerate and accelerate between Vjerk and Vperimeter, so the print head has to cope both with the physical forces and the change in pressure due to the changing extrusion rate.
