The G-code preview in Cura shows a single wall, vertical for the lower section then tapering and vertical for the upper section. I can't print it to see what happens on my printer as it is stuck outside the print area and I can't move it back in line. There doesn't appear to be any reason in the g-code that is causing the bumps... happy to have a go, if you could share the stl and I can slice foby Vidius - Printing
That's weird... see attached :-) from 2.0.5, but only changes since v2.0.0 are the date of copyright... Aby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
MarlinConfig.h should be in the Marlin>src>inc folder along with a few other files... (see image of my src folder)... clearly VisualStudio it can't find it! :-( Suggest re-download Marlin folder?! :-) Aby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
How comfortable are you with Arduino or Raspberry Pi, or using a TINYUSP board?? In order to upload new firmware to a stock Ender, you'll need to either use a USP to flash the firmware directly, or Arduino/ Pi to load a Bootloader and then you can upload new firmware via USB cable from Mac/PC. I have just uploaded Marlin 2.0.5.1 on my Ender 5... it IS pretty full (the install uses 98% availableby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
Thank You AJMartel... I had added Preheat settings in Config.h for HDPE, TPU and PETG, but they weren't showing up when I flashed to my Ender 5... I assume these additional changes to Language_en.h are machine agnostic?! Perhaps this instruction should be added into the std Config.h file so that others who want to do this won't have to go searching for the extra code like I did? Aby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
I've got some HDPE with glass fibre which needs 300° hot end but only 75° bed and sticks to PP tape on a glass bed Makes pretty robust objects... Aby Vidius - General
Yes... I uploaded a Bootloader (to en Ender 5) using Raspberry Pi and the method on this webpage... (https://www.fission3d.com/post/flash-bootloader-and-install-firmware-with-raspberry-pi) Now I can update with Mac and Arduino IDE... In Arduino, you need to add several libraries esp the Sanguino one... make sure you choose Sanguino>ATMega1284p (16GHz) and the correct port (for the USB sby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
It's still 15°C in Marlin 2.0.3 ... I'm trying to print an HDPE that the manufacturer says they use at 300, so I set Max_Temp to 300 and reinstalled ... but in the screen, I can't go over 285°! I found this thread when I was looking for reasons why... I guess I'll just have to put 315°!! Vidby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin

For some reason, (i didn't think related to new install of Marlin 2.0.3!) a couple of prints started suffering from poor extrusion some time into the print... After a bit of head scratching and sleeping on it overnight.... I realised that Noisy fans can be an asset!! If I had kept the stock cooling fan on my Ender 5 instead of a 'silent as a quiet mouse' Noctua... I might have noticed that itby Vidius - General
Sorry, not a solution, but I also have funny things going on since 2.0.3 Marlin 'update' On my ender 5, the home is the same position, at the back right, but despite the Config.h file matching the 1.1.9 configs, 0,0,0 is front right... so the test line used to be from back right to front right, switched to front left to back left... I think this reminds us that even the released 2.0.3 is a workby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
Hello, To answer your OP... Yes... Ender 5 (Melzi/ ATMega1284P board) went from Crealitiy's version ?1.6 Marlin to Marlin 2.0.3 I assume you have a raspberry Pi as well (as you're using Octoprint!!)... Arduino IDE works on Mac... remember to find and load the Sanguino and U8glib libraries... I followed the step by step, loading boot loader first, then carried on with Marlin... from this websiby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
Did you get this sorted yet?? I came across your problem while searching for help with my own.... Have you tried comparing the 2 config files with Winmerge... it allows side by side comparison of the 2 files... I started going through your config.h and there are a couple of things that are commented out in the v2 that are not in the 1.1.9 I haven't gone through it all (I have my problems to solby Vidius - Firmware - Marlin
