Thank you, good to know that.by Arnold - Reprappers
Hello all, today I attached Reprapdiscount Smart Controller to arduino mega and did first moves with Z axis. What is strange that if I move for example possitive 10mm Z axis move normally, but after setting to 0mm it does not want to go back. What do I wrong ?by Arnold - Reprappers
Thanks, So I am going to rather use separately 12 and 24V power supply, its gonna be easier for me, I am not good electricianby Arnold - RAMPS Electronics
I have found this diagram, is it also correct ? As I look on your diagram I still need 12V power supply to supply ramps. Is there any way to use only 24V power supply for powering both ? This 5-12V and signal input remains unconnected ? And I have 24V 15A is that enough ? I know I have so many question...by Arnold - RAMPS Electronics
Cool, so you using 24v power supply to power up heatbed and ramps through this mosfet at once ?by Arnold - RAMPS Electronics
Hello all, can anyone recommend me what SSR unit should I use for 24V 360W silicon heatbed converting from 12V ramps 1.4 ? Some link on specific thing would be fine. thank youby Arnold - RAMPS Electronics
Hello everybody. I have a question. What to exactly change in sprinter config to achieve some gradual acceleration. My motor reacts immediately at full speed, need slowly up and slowly down.by Arnold - General
Hi everyone, does anyone know what causing this ? It looks like bubling or waving. Print head a little bit vibrated on these places and there were little tooth. I printed whole day and everything was fine. But last print looks like this: picture in attachment. I checked all, diameter, temperature, nozzle possible clogging - was clean, it was the same setting. So any idea ?by Arnold - General
Thanks for answer, is there any existing schema with proper values of this resistor and capacitors ?by Arnold - General
Hi all, does anobody know why A4988 spins few steps when I turn on Arduino Uno just by connecting USB to PC ? Other single steppers units does not do it.by Arnold - General
Is it possible somehow set on this stepper to hold tension after its turning is over and there is a time pause before next command ?by Arnold - General
Ok, I tried it, microstepping works, but there is still rattling, its not so silent and smooth as it works for example with ramps 1.4 on arduino mega. So anyone knows ?by Arnold - General
You mean all pins MS1,MS2,MS3 to one 5V on arduino UNO ? Can you tell me more how it works ?by Arnold - General
ok, I did not have connected RESET with SLEEP, but anyway, not motor is working but the steps are so loud, its rattling. How to drive it smoothly ? I changed currect from stepper but it does not work. Motor is nema 17.by Arnold - General
Hi all, so I connected everything like in this schema: but Iam not able to spin the motor. It looks like that motor is even not connected. I meassured current on stepper and there is. Also checked 5V from board and 24 from power supply, its ok. Is there anything else I have to check ?by Arnold - General
Thank you for reply, so I could solder it on stepper directly ? It would be the shortest way ?by Arnold - General
Hi all, what capacitor should I use for powering motor nema17 through pololu A4998 ? I have found just information about 100uf but there are other atributes about voltage. I have 24V power supply. What capacitor can I use ?by Arnold - General
Hi guys, is there any schema how to connect single A4998 stepper to Arduino UNO with grbl firmware ?by Arnold - General
MindRealm I will try upload STL at the evening.by Arnold - General
Neybordave, yeah it is like playing with machines, for vinyl decals it is better to invest money into some cutting plotter.by Arnold - General
Hello folks, I desided to make drag knife by using 3D printer with ABS material and common metal parts. or You need any flat CNC. I built CNC by myself, it is combination common alluminum profiles, particle boards and printed ABS parts. For running G-code I used Arduino with Sprinter. As the software for generation g-code I use Simply Cam 2, you can import your data from vector programs likby Arnold - General
Yes, there is, I think its Z, I am still working on it to make this axis more solid,by Arnold - General
Sure, much better.by Arnold - General
Ok, so I have found the cause. It was in G-code, it has low resolution. Pronterface showed it ok, so I was confused, but I tried Repetier for preview and there g-code was with teeth. So I increased resolution and it is ok now.by Arnold - General
Hi all, actually I try milling with Pronterface, I use Sprinter, Nema 17 motors, M8 rods for moving, backlash 0. This is my setup: #define _AXIS_STEP_PER_UNIT {2560, 2560, 2560, 682}. Actually I have very smooth gcode but I am not able to mill it like that. I did many tries but always the same, even with lowerized feedrate to minimum my result is always like in attachment, so shape with teeth.by Arnold - General
Thank you Andrew for quick replay, I was confused by huge list in pins.h so I missed the Ramps section. I will test it tomorrow. thanks againby Arnold - General
Hi again, so is it possible just connect 2 motors on one cabel and run them with one stepper without problem ? I looked at pins.h and there such a mess for me so I dont know what to change.by Arnold - General
Hmm, I think the easiest way is maybe swap it directly in G-code, I just swap Y Z, I can then use Z like Y with two motors. pins.h is good idea, Ill look at it too. Is there any line for easy swap or it needs large edit ?by Arnold - General
