My 5" LCD module arrived today. Did a small test using RADDS + RADDS LCD + PanelDUE - RADDS running Repetier firmware. Communication ok, and the values on the RADDS LCD changes when "moving" the axis using the PanelDUE I`m going to test it in combination with Repetier and RepRap firmware Anyone tested connecting using a Bluetooth link and added a battery? Using it as a remote-control/monitorby mundsen - Controllers
From your images it seems like your cable is folded over the contact - that makes it opposite compared to mine. That is why I got the idea? But agree - hard to tellby mundsen - Controllers
Can you test swapping the ends of the cable at right (left = the side with the USB ). Plug the end that goes to the RADDS in the LCD module and the end now in RADDS to the LCD You download the complete file set from repetier config + flashing the DUE without any errors?by mundsen - Controllers
- using Arduino to flash the Arduino DUE? No errors when flashing? - The cables connected correct to the LCD panel and the RADDS?by mundsen - Controllers
Quotewrreek I have a RADDS 1.5 on Arduino Due and a RADDS LCD 4 x 20. I want to set it up with Repetier firmware but I cannot get it to work. It looks like the RADDS and Arduino are working well but the LCD doesn't. I need the right uiconfig.h and configuration.h settings. Can you help me. It cost me two days already. Can I use repetier firmware 0.92.8? Thanks a lot in advance. You can use tby mundsen - Controllers
All seems fine, but I`ll take a closer look later today. Sent a message to the ebay seller - they want to send me a new panel (great service),by mundsen - Controllers
I have the PanelDUE set to 3.3V - should I set it to 5V for this panel? seems a lot like the panel on your web siteby mundsen - Controllers
Hi, my 5" LCD arrived today. Connected it to the PanelDUE controller. Then I get the text: Touch the spot, and a black spot - but nothing happens when I touch the spot. I reflashed the controller using the PanelDue-5.0-1.13 file (image from the cmd after flashing) Have I done something wrong? I have not connected it to my RADDS yet - should Iget some menus.. without connecting to RADDS? I haby mundsen - Controllers
Quoteangelo Richtig Geil !!!
Some progress :-) - Installed RepRap firmware on my RADDS/DUE - The PanelDue module arrived today - installed the latest firmware for 5" LCD panel Now I wait until the LCD panel arrives before I continueby mundsen - Controllers
RADDS + Repetier supports bluetooth : + WiFi - I`ll do the documentation when the WiFi module arrives: I do not know if Bluetooth and/or WiFi is supported when using RepRap firmware? If so, can it be used in combination with PanelDUE? Quotedc42 RepRapFirmware on Duet supports file upload over the web interface and full access to the SD card over FTP. But whoever designed the Arduino Due maby mundsen - Controllers
What is the best/recommended control software (windows) when running RepRap firmware? Is it only Octoprint that supports editing CD card files without removing the SD card I`m planning the RADDS/RepRap documentation and try to find the best/easiest way to get started My test setup: OrdBot Hadron (my test printer) using a 24V power RADDS + RAPS128 + Hall-E (endstops) Panel DUE + 5inch touch LCDby mundsen - Controllers
Any recommendation regarding SD cards in terms of speed and capacityby mundsen - Controllers
Hi, great if you document your findings I plan to test a setup with RADDS + RAPS128 + PanelDUE + RepRap firmware, and try to document how to get started + basic settings at In that way it may be easier for other users to get startedby mundsen - Controllers
If using the programming port and Repetier Host Go to Printer Settings -> Connection -> Receive Cache Size and set it to 64 Then I guess your communication is okby mundsen - Controllers
I have an OrdBot Hadron (my test printer) and a BBOne + I may get a Delta later My plan is to try RepRap firmware on my test printer running DUE+ RADDS + RAPS128 + maybe a PanelDUE If it turns out ok, I`ll try to document (doku.radds.org) how to install it on RADDS and the basic configuration..by mundsen - Controllers
Ok, I understand. Now I have to test it ☺by mundsen - Controllers
ok,here is some of what I have found: - when using RepRap firmware you have to use the PanelDUE, and/or control the printer using a Control Program - The git page say you should use the programming port - The printer is configured by editing files on the SD card What is the benefits in using RepRap Firmware compared to Marlin, Repetier..?by mundsen - Controllers
So if I want to test RepRap firmware on RADDS I have to use PanelDUE? If so I`ll consider getting a PanelDUE so I can continue the testing/documentationby mundsen - Controllers
My plan is to: 1. Do a test install on my DUE/RADDS. 2. Try to make a step by step guide about how to install the firmware on DUE/RADDS 3. How to configure basic settings for RADDS LCD, end stops, and RAPS128 stepper drivers. At the moment I have some problems where bossac do not find my DUE/RADDS when using the programming port - I found in this forum that some other users have this problem -hby mundsen - Controllers
Hi all, I have made most of the RADDS documentation and the content in doku.radds.org I`m working on updating the documentation + adding new content I hope to add documentation about how to install and configure the RepRap firmware on RADDS: http://doku.radds.org/dokumentation/firmware/arduino/reprap/ Anyone here that use it and can make a simple step by step documentation? I have some problemsby mundsen - Controllers
And you have updated to the latest Rumba/Repetier code? I think there was a software bug back when I had the skipping problems.by mundsen - Repetier
I got my problem solved, but it`s so long ago that I do not remember.. Do you use a fan to lower the temperature on the stepper drivers? Have you tested adjuring the stepper driver current?by mundsen - Repetier
Quotelynnroth So, this has seemed to solve my Y-axis skipping issue as well. Is there something wrong with all the Rumba boards that causes this? Hi, have sent a mail to reprapdiscount about this - I`ll report back when they answer. Did you have to Mirror the Y and one of the extruder output like me?by mundsen - Repetier
Hi, I have some questions about Repetier Server: 1. Does it support BeagleBone Black? 2. Have you considered adding webcam support to stream live video from the printer? (Logitech 920 do internal HD compression)by mundsen - Repetier
Allmost done printing the bottom case for the XXL LCD display from reprapdiscount.com without any shifting in the Y axis :-) so it seems like moving the Y stepper motor to the Extruder 2 output and mirroring Y and E2 solved the problem. Strange that E2 did not work without mirroring Y and E2.. Is there a fault on my Rumba Controller then?by mundsen - Repetier
This is strange - If I Select Extruder 1 or Extruder 2 on Y-Motor, and Connect the Y stepper to E1 or E2 it do not move (only move if I Connect it to the Y output). But then I mirrored the Extruder 2 output to Y and it Works when Connected to E2 Did a small test print when the Y steper was Connected to E2, and I got the best print so far - I`ll do a test on a larger print later today.by mundsen - Repetier
Hi, I do not get any movement on the Y axis if I try to use E1 or E2 I have tested selecting Stepper Socket Extruder 1 and I have tested Extruder 2. but still I\M only able to move the Y axis when it is connected to the Y socket Any idea why?by mundsen - Repetier
If I try to select an other stepper driver for my Y axis I can select from (X, Y, Z, Extruder 0, Extruder 2 and Extruder 2) - Extruder 1 is missing ( I use Extruder 2 for mirroring Z for dual Z drivers)by mundsen - Repetier
