Here's a problem I can't seem to figure out or correct. Machine is home built using latest Marlin on arduino and poluno. I use auto bed leveling on glass probing 9 points on the glass. It does it's thing on startup, but then when the print starts the right side is always low and the left is always high. While it's printing the skirt I have to raise the right side z by a couple of clicks on theby bobkeyes - General Mendel Topics
Victorjung-Ummmmm? Not sure,but I'll check it soon.by bobkeyes - General
Well, it's not backwards. I just tilted the bed a lot. It is following along right, but still about 3 steps high left and 3 low right.by bobkeyes - General
You know, it's like the matrix is being put in reversed from left to right! What would cause that??by bobkeyes - General
Agravation!! When I start a print I have to force the left Z motor down about 3 steps and the right up about 3 to 4 steps. Then all prints beautiful. But, it is agravating to have to do this. No start and walk away. When I do another print I have to do the same thing. Anymore thoughts??by bobkeyes - General
krwynn and GITRDUN. Thanks for your replies. G28 is always run first then G29. As to the bed flatness, using a machinists straight edge I can see no light anywhere I place it. Don't have a setup to dial it yet, but may have to make one. Thanks again. I've moved back to the 2014 pronterface. Seems a little better. Don't know what that has to do with it, BUT ?????????by bobkeyes - General
Thanks for your response. It actually probes 4 points, Marlin is set to 2. I have tried 3, which is actually 9 probes with no success. Same result.by bobkeyes - General
First the stats. Marlin Ramps Pronterface Boro Silicate heated glass bed ATX Power I installed bed leveling using a micro switch and servo. Before the install I got really good prints, but had to level bed after about 2 or 3 prints using a paper shim. Hence, auto bed leveling. All seems to work well. Everything homes as it should and then does it's bed leveling thing. I use 2 points. The numberby bobkeyes - General
Here is what I'm using. Arduino Mega 2560 Ramps 1.4 Marlin firmware I am attempting to turn off zmin pull up in order to do auto bed leveling. Commented it out both lines. Still have 4.4 vdc on the pin. All other axis go to 0 vdc when commented out. Also, UNcommented disable all min pull ups with the same result. I thought it was my boards, one or the other. Ordered and received new ones. The nby bobkeyes - General
Thanks to Zedsquared and Kurzaa for the info. I just swapped z max, since I don't use it, and z min. A g119 now shows z min triggered when it's supposed to be. You saved me some $$$. Thanks again.by bobkeyes - General
Thanks a bunch Kurzaa! Big Help. One question. I'm using Ramps 13. Is pins_ramps13 the file I need? What would a dummy do without guys like you all.by bobkeyes - General
Thanks a lot Robin. However, I don't know where to find pins.h?? It is not listed in the marlin sketch?? Can you help? I've searched Google with no luck.by bobkeyes - General
While experimenting with auto bed leveling I accidentally, READ STUPIDLY, put 12VDC onto the Z MIN pin on the Polouno board. Now Z Min won't read. Don't know if it is the Pol. board or the Arduino?? Is there a work around? Anyone have any ideas as to how to check which board it is? I ordered a new Pol board cause they are cheap. Should be here in a couple of days. ANY help is much appreciated.by bobkeyes - General
Built the computer myself. Already had XP so that's what I'm using. It is dedicated to the printer. Don't really need all the bell and whistles to run the printer.by bobkeyes - General
Many Many thanks for your replies. As it turned out I just needed to load the Marlin drivers and change the com port. Thanks again.by bobkeyes - General
I just purchased a new computer. How do I get everything changed over to the new on from the old one. I am running Repitier, Slic3r, Arduino mega 2560, Marlin firmware. Can't seem to get the right files to the new computer. Can anyone help please?? Thanks for trying to end my frustrations!!by bobkeyes - General
Thanks a lot. That clears up one question I had. Thanks again.by bobkeyes - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Does it always tune at 150C? No matter what I seem to do the tuning moves to 150C and that's where the values are established. Is that right?by bobkeyes - Firmware - mainstream and related support
