Looks like too much tension in x-belt, but can't be sure. If you are using Kisslicer, you can also try lowering acceleration as much as you can (like 2mm/s or about) - helped me few times.by Tolstiy - General Mendel Topics
Definitely faced the problem few months ago. Looked similar - about 10-12 layers in one place, then shifts a bit to side and continues to print fine. Not quite sure, but as I remember tightening the y-belt (with EXTREME force) solved it. Good luck!by Tolstiy - General Mendel Topics
Hey guys! My printer is RepRapPro Mendel Tricolour Had to change my microcontroller to new one and after soldering it and loading the firmware faced lots of problems. 1. all endstops reporting as pressed while they aren't 2. no movement in any direction for every axis 3. LED starts glowing continually, with no flashes, for some time (about 5-10 seconds) after I turn on the hotend. And still therby Tolstiy - General Mendel Topics
Hello, guys! I've bought Mendel Tricolour about year ago and recently got microcontroller (Atmega 1284p) burnt. So I got a new one, soldere it on the board and faced a lot of problems trying to write the bootloader on it. I'm using the USBasp programmer and Arduino IDE. I downloaded the sanguino folder from the RepRapPro github, added it to the Arduino\hardware\arduino folder and chosen board: Mby Tolstiy - Reprappers
Great thanks from me too, soldering solved the problem with brand new Melzi and old Nemas-17.by Tolstiy - Controllers
Thank you all, guys, with your help I solved the problem and got some nice results. First guess was for bindings and after I removed it, the problem was partly solved. Then I found out that Y-belt is displaced by some angle if compare front and rear parts of Mendel. So I reassembled whole Y-system and everything went fine. Again thanks all and sorry for late answer.by Tolstiy - Reprappers
Hello everybody! In a stupid accident I've damaged my bed thermistor and now I need to replace it. I found a replacement for it, but I can not change its characteristics in Melzi firmware.. I've changed B(beta) and R values in Configuration.h file, but the readings from Pronterface haven't changed - they are -50 C for normal room temperature. I've also seen some TempTabs which are looking easy tby Tolstiy - Reprappers
Well, I've listened to the pulley advice, disassembled it, added a little glue under the pulley, and after I assembled it againg the printing was just perfect for first three models. But on the fourth try everything was back to its previous state.by Tolstiy - Reprappers
Helllo everyone! I've finished assemblying my Mendel Tricolour couple months ago and didn't face with this problem until last few days. Like you can see on the picture, there some displacements on the Y-axis. These shifts take place while printing different models at different speeds. Even trying same G-code twice, or more, ends up with shifts that could be higher or lower or in different numberby Tolstiy - Reprappers
