You connected the end stop wire the wrong way around. If you have the magic smoke then you may have lost.by GRAYWOLF - General
It does now, I switched the axis and flipped the connections but now the extruder is playing up (didn't touch the wiring on it)by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Is there something in the G-code that could cause this?by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Quotegforce1 I guess one of your axis (y-axis?)is going the wrong way. What printer do you have? Edit: also mirrored prints X and Y were swapped ! Thanks bud. Try again.by GRAYWOLF - Printing
its also a Prusa i3 but it has only happened on this one object! Also In cura the object is place in the centre of the bed from left to right but when printed it faces (off centre!) Xaxis rear! rotated 90 degrees !by GRAYWOLF - Printing
I've opened an object in cura and exported it to g-code but its been printed out mirrored. I've also entered this model in cura but yet its also off centre. Can someone tell me where to look for the gremlins inhabiting my printer?by GRAYWOLF - Printing
My kits manufacture profile has ABS @ 230 and bed @ 100by GRAYWOLF - Printing
The instructions that came with min stated that the nozzle should be close enough to the bed so that a piece of paper is very liglhty trapped and can be tugged out with only a little tug. Beyound that my issue was down to the end stop issue.by GRAYWOLF - Printing
I had this issue briefly and thought some electronics had fail. What is you Z-Axis offset? Is your Z-Axis endstop working and properly adjusted? I had my z offset wrong and caused the nozzle to crash into the bed (fixed with the Z-Axis offset (or whatever the option) then had to adjust the Z-Axis endstop screw slightly and it all worked.by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Thanks, it is a noob issue. the oversized base layer is the 10mm raft! Really should read everything.by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Have you tightened the belt enough so that it can be plucked light a guitar string? I could be belt slipping. When you pluck the upper section of belt it should produce a dull twang. Is the pull tight Are well talking about the X (the bed) or Y the section the head moves along?by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Is there a reason that the base layer (or 2) is 5 times the size of the object I'm printing? I'm using cure on OS X to generate the g-codeby GRAYWOLF - Printing
Quoterepanrap The mag, issue 1, is a bit "fluffy" in content but I think that's to be expected for a 1st issue. Tutorial wise, it has started of with installing and creating a block model of a simple house in SketchUp, which the mag will continue with for a while and will later get into other sw. It's not a bad intro to 3D for the average non-geek. The only problem is, do you have the patienceby GRAYWOLF - General
Was the z stop (reading open when closed) but after a few resets its all working now. just waiting on the thing to warm up for its test print. Well that was a fail, tried to print from the top and work down?by GRAYWOLF - General
I looked at the website for this but found essential info hard to locate. Don't trust these mags as the finale item usually cost more then a market model.by GRAYWOLF - General
thank, Im using inventor fusion for the heavy work then 123d for the finale adjustment. (I'm on OS X) I have an issue with one of the endstops reading active when it shouldn'tby GRAYWOLF - General
I'm just working my way through ooznest's Prusa i3 kit. and so far I'm inputted as the wiring is all terminated in connectors that can only go in one way. The only problem I have is that I am struggling to handle the hex socket M3 bolts as I'm struggling to hold the tiny allen key supplied (two thin for me to keep hold.)by GRAYWOLF - General
Just started building my Prusa i3 (supplied by ooznest) and while I have a basic understanding of cad and the grounds of getting the models ready to print. (I have downloaded a few and also made a few) and have a question. Is there a good getting started book?by GRAYWOLF - General
