while I thought it was a good printer for a beginner I decided to use the parts from mine to build a taz5 clone and I must say it far better and works a treat. screw upgrading this printer just use it as a donor and evolve itby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
sorry what problems are you having mine didn't come with the auto leveling so judging by what people have said that's something to be thankful for.by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
looks interesting ive never seen anything like this beforeby wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Hello all, I`ve mainly been spending my time over in the i3 camp but the ambitious part of me has got the better of me and I decided to build this. we have a taz5 at work and I love it so thought id try and build my own at a dramatically reduced cost.by wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
ive had to do the same as you. I wondered why it didn't work to start with then realised I hadn't moved the plug for the stepper.by wampablo - Reprappers
actually its thisby wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
sounds similar to what I'm doing at the minute ive got a cheap Chinese kit from ebay. why workplace has just purchased a taz5 which came with all the files need to print parts. see where this is going ? so using my printer and the one at work ive managed to make a start on building my very own taz5 alliexpress has been my friend during this build and IT-Works has helped also with the parts ive neby wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
is it v-slot your after or will t-slot do the job ? I'm building a taz replica which is why I used t-slotby wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
if your from the uk you could try RS Componentsby wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
you could try RS components ive just bought some t-slot from there enough for 10 x 500mm lengths @ a cost of less than £45.by wampablo - Extruded Aluminum Frames
did you solve this ?by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
thanks for all your help ive managed to get this done so once again thanks !!!!!!by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
I think ive fried my E0 circuit on my makerbase 1.4 board ! I think you can run the extruder on the E1 port but I'm not sure how to change Arduino to tell my board to do this can anyone help?by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
have you tried lowering your extruder temp ? or adding more retraction ?by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
more info would be nice. type of filament, manufacturer, bed temp and nozzle temp. as much as we all like to think we are we are not mind readersby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
what software are you using ?by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
the beauty of this kind of printer is it basically a benchmark there not the highest quality as anything bought from china. and when people with more than a small amount of sense pick one up they tend to make them there own as I have. they give you the basic idea of how they work and once you have that depending on how inclined you are the skies the limit I'm designing my own at the minute heavilby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
I all of a sudden feel overwhelmed and can feel my eyes swelling up with tears of pride you've done a great job there. I have done a small thing with my printer and it seems to have had a positive affect with z-banding. while I was doing some printing I noticed that my z-axis trapezoidal lead screw were not concentric with the top hole now I knew they where not bent after I had them rolling on mby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
mine did the same turned out to be an uneven x axisby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
ive not been doing a lot with my printer of late. ive got a host of other projects I'm entertained with. but we have just bought a lulzbot taz 5 at work and it a completely different animal and i think the next upgrade for me would be a silicone heatpad new glass and some pei sheet. this is the set up on the taz at work and abs sticks to it beautifully infact it stuck that well earlier i tried toby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm getting the same kind of issue at the minute. I'm working through some things but I haven't found a cure as of yet. but saying that and I'm no expert but yours to me looks like a temperature issue I may be wrong.by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
here you go marvo not sure if you can do anything with them ive not got any experience with 123d design.by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
this Is why I like forums so many people on different levels to each other and as long as your not totally clueless everyone joins in to help. Marvo what 3d cad program are you using ? if I know which you are using I can try and send you the designs for my holder and you can have a play around with them to your own preference the thing I found with my printer is the acrylic frame doesn't reallby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
look up at some of my previous postby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
have you tried putting a minus before the numbers ?by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
The spool holder is of my own design and thank you I got fed up with hearing the printer humming away while it wasn't being used and I got fed up of reaching under my desk and unplugging it problem is the usb will keep the lcd powered up but that I don't really mind. I don't normally use rafts I use a brim which I find neater but has more of a tendency to warp in the corners.by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
I didn't go the auto leveling route with mine seemed far to much of a ball ache I leveled my bed the old fashion way. I have heard lots of reports that its not really that good but on the other hand the same amount of people swear by it. ive never had it so I cant commit to being any use with advice. the only thing ive played around with is the Arduino code to calibrate the extruder and set my oby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
I don't know if I mentioned this already I had a lot of minor issues with mine but the answers have never been far away and I'm still finding them 12 month down the line. my latest acquisition have been z axis rods and couplings from they have dramatically improved the print quality and I get very little banding now so maybe once you get yours up and printing this may be something to look intoby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
how are you getting on with this now ?by wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
the glass is stronger than you think it is I was surprised. does your pcb come away from the aluminium? what material are you planning on printing? you may need to get a few bits from a hardware store or online. I found the counter sunk screws that are holding the aluminum to the pcb arnt really ideal I went fro a more classic head. depending on what you plan to print with also depicts what typeby wampablo - Prusa i3 and variants
