Open source projects are an ocean of clutterd information. If noone sorts it out for you, you will have to do it all by yourself.by maboo - MetalicaRap
Why so complecated? You can print out a dozen parts at the same time if you use a plate with a dozen extruders all in one head.with the appropriate distance to each other. You find those multi heads in milling amchines f.i. that mill PCB boards. they often have 6 or more tools in one head. It all depends on the size of the parts. Just look for multi spindle.by maboo - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
As a craftsman your skin on your fingers gets thicker from work. I dont think that this is a big mistery. He might also have wetted his fingers before touching the plastic. If I use my heatgun sometimes I touch the hot plastic. Sometimes it burns me sometimes not. If it does not stick to your skin it wont do much harm ( but dont try this out with any hot plastic!).by maboo - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
Looks like very few parts are needed. Can you tell how many so far? How many printed?by maboo - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
We used to "print" tinpaste or tin-bismuth paste in my company in the mid 90s. That was of course not for printing 3D objects but to dispense the solderpaste to very special locations (selective soldering). Using paste, you should not have any issue concerning the surface tension. After printing the object you may would have to stabilize it with sand or else and then melt it in one go. Hello Rich, I watched the video and followed your blog on this project and I like the design very much, so I going to build one. I is a real evolutionary design , becuase it uses far less parts, screws, no timing belts and many mechanical functions have been integrated into complex parts. I have those aluminum profiley "laying around" in my workshop from a 10 year old machine project that I gaveby maboo - Delta Machines
Hello everybody! I have more than 10Kg of PBT mostly black but also some white or grey (sorted by color) for sale. PBT is a high tenperature fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic with a melting point of around 220°C. Check out Wiki: Wikipedia - PBT thermoplastic properties The chunks have the size of Lego, they are from electronic connectors. Check out the photo I just made: I run a small compaby maboo - For Sale
