Quoteepicepee Sounds like you have too much current. I have DRV8825's and I can tell you they're extremely touchy, current-wise. I'd mess with that a bit. Done that, but i don't see how that could be the issue when the problem persists even after switching the DRV8825's around...? also it didn't change anything.by Skunky - Printing
Hello fellow reprappers. I have a seriously weird problem. I've just recently bought a set of DRV8825 drivers, and after installing them the X axis started to sound VERY strange when running, like some gears where broken. I would go so far to say that you can even see the X-carriage make tiny jumps. What i have tested so far: cables - Working stepper - Working driver - Working Plugging theby Skunky - Printing
I'm using a Server PSU. they are imba. Well my problem got solved with the SDramps. I just move the g-code files i want to print to the card directly, and then i go into pronterface in "sd" and start what ever print from there. I dont even load the file into pronterfaceby Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
hey n9ghtfury. For me the SDcardreader helpt solve the problem. Btw, you know you can use a "normal" sdcard reader from ebay, you dont need to use the SDRamps. The normal reader is just 2£ instead of 12£^^by Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
You are right about the network issue. Used to have big problems with checksum_mismatch errors with Baud 25000, wich i reduced greatly with switching to Baud 115200. I would still get that error now and then, but it didn't use to be a problem. Now i dont get those checksum_mismatch errors, it just stops working. I can say that I've changed from a "normal" arduino 2560mega to a Taurino Powerby Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
Hello My printer sometimes "hangs" mid-print, making the printer unresponsive. I'ts completely random where or if it happens, but when it does, Pronterface writes a "0" without the quotes, in the command field. What could cause this problem ? I'm running my printer at baud 115200, with a Taurino Power and Ramps 1.4. Using Sprinter and Pronterface as softwareby Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
I would recommend that you try another stepper driver. If the other driver does not show the same problem, then the driver you talk about is blown. Also, you really should turn off the power, BEFORE you temper with the electronics.by Skunky - Controllers

And should your cooling fail, while printing, the PSU will just shut of after 2 mins. Happened to me because the fan fell over.by Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
Hello. I have a little problem. When printing from SD card, it stalls at some point. Last time it stalled at 985430/5498672. It would just keep on posting something like "printing from SD 985430/5498672", and neither a pause/resume or anything else would work. I can control it however, which i find even more odd ? p.s. I really don't know if this is the right place to post this. I couldby Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
Hello. I've been one of those who jumpt on the PC PSU bandwagon, and i must say that was utterly crap. not only did i pay around 60$, it was a 500w PSU that should have been able to handle the load easy. Well it was very bad, if i have to be honest. Bought 3 2in1 12v car bulbs and attached them all to the 5v line to create load (without load it would shut of when turning on the heatbed) and iby Skunky - RAMPS Electronics

Thanks for the reply. Could you specify wich pins i need to use then ?by Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
Hello. I was wondering if it was possible to use the PS_on feature with a ramps 1.3 ? as far as i understand, 1.3 and 1.4 are much alike, so i figured it should also be possible with a RAMPS 1.3 ? Hope someone can help hereby Skunky - RAMPS Electronics
