Hello, Lately, I have been seeing issues relating to my print bed heating. Printing pauses repeatedly because of the heat bed (I think): Recv: T:239.94 /240.00 B:64.93 /65.00 @:86 B@:88 W Recv: T:239.81 /240.00 B:65.06 /65.00 @:89 B@:47 Recv: T:240.00 /240.00 B:65.02 /65.00 @:84 B@:61 W:9 Recv: T:239.94 /240.00 B:65.00 /65.00 @:85 B@:66 W:8 Recv: T:240.16 /240.00 B:65.05 /65.00 @:78 B@:51by Erkn - RAMPS Electronics
Correct!!! It has been a long time since we put the printer together that I had forgot this step.by Erkn - Reprappers
Hi, Trying to get around what seems like a bad ramps board and wondered if it is safe to do the above. I see a lot on doing this for the bed but not the extruder. The one comment that I found was that it caused a lot of smoke, which I assumed ended badly. thanksby Erkn - Reprappers
Hi, I am trying to replace my current ramps board because I suspect a mosfet blew for the extruder port. When I attach the new board, everything seems fine until I try to move a stepper. At that point it makes a loud sort of bell/whistle sound. Swapping the old board back in, the steppers move fine, no sound but also blown mosfet. Has anyone seen this before? I am not sure a how the new boaby Erkn - Reprappers
Thanks, I will give the MOSFET option a try. Is it possible to use an external mosfet board like what I have seen for heat beds?by Erkn - Reprappers
Do you mean from the board to the extruder? I see the drop at the board port.by Erkn - Reprappers
Hi, I am using a ramps board for a prusa i3 printer, its about 3 years old. The printer has been acting up mid prints with "heating failures". Now it wont heat up at all. I see 12v on the ports from the board but it drops to zero when attached to the extruder. The 12vs from the PSU does not drop when the extruder is on. I have also tried changing the extruder and still see the same problemby Erkn - Reprappers
Thanks for the reply. I did jump ahead using 2 PSUs. I was worried that I had to somehow tie the 2 PSUs together to provide a common ground but it was necessary. Everything worked! ... but I burnt a my circuit breaker! I am talking about the one in my garage. I believe the problem was elsewhere but as a precaution, I dropped the second PSU. Fortunately the PSU that came with the kit had 3by Erkn - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, I would like to add a MOSFET module board to my ramps 1.4 board for a PRUSA printer. I have a 320 watt ATX power supply that I was considering using to power the heat bed (leaving the current PSU as is) but was hoping to get some feedback if I am on right path. 1) In terms of connecting wires, is the diagram I have attached correct? 2) Would using the ATX power supply for the heat bed beby Erkn - Prusa i3 and variants
