Hi, also ich will den Pin 12 benutzen, 12 SDSS (Chip Select) . Hello, I had a red spool and that was fine. Now I have an atomic green and it's also quite fine. Only breaks easy. Temperature about 195, No jamming. Nice for the price. Currently still strugling with white ABS and V5 Hotend.... Extruding at 230,,, But often jams. The PLA printer has a reprap-fab V2 ... Will order from them again. cu Michaelvon mcp - General
Hi, need to test further, but I am using the recommended IRLB 8743 which worked quite good and suddenly desoldered after updating firmware.... I'll test next weekend what was going on. cu Michaelvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello, I guess the software either kept the heated bed permanently on for a couple of minutes or even worth, the pin was not really HIGH but somewhere in between so that the FET did not switch completely.... And it worked fine before I tried to use the version with SD-Card and Display support.... I tried afterwards without connection the heated bed and the Repetier-Host was able to switch the Fvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello, just had a bad experience, I tried to use repetier with all setings for SD and I2C. Then aftervinstalling the software the FET for the Heated Bed desolderer and busted... Guess is that the fastio.h used the pin 4 also for SS. Will give it a try with the changed software and a spare board tomorrow... My guess is that SS was still on Pin4 (Arduino numbering) and fastio.h uses this hard codevon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello Peter, congratulations, seems to work fine, so just repetier on the GEN7 and it should work. Make sure you set the PIN for the FAN so it does not conflict with the temerature sensors. Not sure if this was adjusted. Set FAN to -1 ;-) Took me 1 week to figure out what was the reason for my bead to stay at 470 C ;-( cu Michaelvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello Peter, I did not yet build mine, (still need to get my printer printing first), but repetier can be configured for any PIN combination on the PCF8574 as far as I understood. The mapping between PCF8574 and the LCD will be adjusted to ease layout.... cu Michaelvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Guckst Du hier Gen7 LCD cu Michaelvon mcp - Elektrik & Elektronik
Hello, I now received 2 original Pololu drivers and they behave the same ;.( So I exchanged now one stepper 1.7A by a low current one 12V, 0,4A and it moves ;-( So the original and the reprap.me one seem to not allow as much current as those I bought from china. So I ordered some spare in china and will wait to get some more information regarding the difference. reprap.me was quite friendly asvon mcp - Controllers
Hello, I'd liko to go for 2 PCB, one on the extension ports and one for the Display, SD-Card and Encoder. Both connected by a 10 pin Wire. See the attached schematic for the adapter. I will try to do the Display Key later. For the display and encoder the schematic would look something like this. cu Michaelvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hellp Peter, just use a PCF8574 for the display and you get all the additional Pins for further development... We will need the additional 4 PINs I guess... cu Michaelvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello, I will start Display, SD_Card and Keys as soon as I get my printer printing. I use repetier as it contains already SD_Card, Display and Keys. For the SD_Card I will use an arduino SD_Card adapter from ebay (Also resistore based) to start with. @Traumflug, at least these adapters are quite cheap, < 2$.... cu Michaelvon mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello, I am also planning to use the GEN7 1.4.1 expansion header to connect SD-Card, Display, Rotary Encoder. Also in the future I might like to connect a FAN and maybe even a second extruder. So my plans are currently to use the following PIN assignment, as the Display is going to be connected by I2C: * 5 MOSI * 6 MISO * 7 SCK * 10 * 11 * 12 SDSS * 13 FAN * 14 EXT1_HEAT PWM * 22 SCL *von mcp - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello all, I at least get some noisy movement from the Y-Axis motor using the reprap.me driver under repetier firmware.... It looks that these so named stepstick can't deliver the required current at the end.... The A4988 based work fine on that axis. So as long as I don't get the schematic with the used resistor values, I will send them both back to Denmark. I payed by paypal and so I hope to gevon mcp - Controllers
Hello Peter, which software did you use on yours ? I am trying with Teacup and got no success at all just the ugly noise and no movement. Ans the nose starts when the first motor moves. I currently use 3 cheap Stepsticks from China and tried one from reprap.me and the chinese work fine, but the A4982 one starts making noise only as soon as the first other get enabled. cu Michaelvon mcp - Controllers
Hello, not so sure with the pad in the middle and the via required to get the cooling. But all this does not explain why they make so much trouble, is there a timing differnce, I did not find anything in the data. From the data sheet I can't figure out any real difference. So either the reprap.me design is differnt from the stepstick or there must be a simple solution to get this resolved. Is thvon mcp - Controllers
Hello, I tested to use same Pull-Down as on Ramps and RAMPS and Sanguinololu, so I guess this is either a firmware (Teacup) issue with these so called stepstick, but I guess they are just crab. There is no schematic and printed on the board is which is a complete different chip. So no schematic for these boards. cu Michaelvon mcp - Controllers
Hello, I just received 2 StepStick boards from reprap.me A4982 to replace one A4983 broken one from ebay. And guess what, they both don't work on my GEN7 1.41 board. They get hot an the motor gives some noise, that's all. Changing the current did not solve the issue. The A4983 based china work well. So has anyone a clue what the differnce might be ?
