Hi, I also use Marlin for my CNC based on ShapeOko 2. To have more control, I modified the Marlin.cpp to add some Gcodes. I use a Kress 220V spindle. To turn on / off the spindle I use a 24V relais. It is connected to D9 (FAN) of the RAMPS. In the Marlin code I added the M commands to turn on/off the spindle on the D9 output. If you use MOTHERBOARD 35 you have a second FAN output on D10. Hi, I had a look on your configuration file. Setting MOTHERBOARD 33 and setting a heatbed thermistor type should be all you have to do in Marlin to enable heatbed. You can try to set heat bead manually. In case you have no LCD connected to your printer you may send e.g. the Gcode "M190 S50" to your printer. This should turn on heatbed heating to 50°. I don't know Repetier, whether you can send cvon my-home-fab - Reprappers
Hi, I observed such behaviour mostly with too low hotend temperature. Did you check that the 250° are the real temperature? I had to adjust my temperature table, because hotend was 20° below of indicated temperature. So I had choosen 250° for printing but real temperature was 230°. Hi, if motors making only some noise, there are two possible causes: 1) motor current is too low -> adjust stepper driver with respect to the rated current of the motor (check technical description) 2) feed rates are to high -> reduce feedrate In Marlin you can limit the max. feedrates for normal moves and for homing as you can see in the config sniplet of Shootquinn. Hi, if you have a look on the RAMPS Schematic (see: RepRap WIKI - RAMPS Schematic) LED 2 should light up if heatbed is turned on. The position on the RAMPS you can see here: RepRap WIKI - RAMPS LEDs I've wrote also an instruction for Marlin on RAMPS, see here: Marlin on RAMPS 1.4. Maybe this helps you a little bit. Hallo, ich habe mich zwar noch nicht mit einem Vellemann beschäftigt, wenn aber ein Arduino mit RAMPS 1.4 dranhängt, dann ist vielleicht meine Anleitung mit Marlin hilfreich. Siehe: VGvon my-home-fab - Projekte
Hi, did you try to use a PEI plate instead of glass? I tried one for printing with PLA and had good results. You need to have head bed > 60° to get a good adhesive. As soon as printing is finished and the head bead has cooled down, the print can be easily solved from the PEI plate. BR Petervon my-home-fab - Printing
Hi, i offer complete J-Heads in my store, preassembled with Heating cartridge and thermistor. As far as I see, you have a original version. Mine are from China. They have a larger heat block. Also the nozzle is a little bit designed different to the original J-Heads. You find the link to my shop in my signature. BR Petervon my-home-fab - Printing
Hi, for PLA printing I'm using blue painter tape with best results. The print will hold very tight. Mostly I have to pull the tape off to get the print from the plate.von my-home-fab - Printing
Hi, I assume you use ABS for printing? I also tried some tricks on it. a) using hairspray works better then pure glass b) I also tried a carbon plate instead of glass Both versions give better adhesive to the print but none is really rock solid compared to PLA on blue 3m tape. With ABS the wrapping will pop out the print from the plate, especially if the part has a small foodprint. Printing avon my-home-fab - Printing
Hi, I'm using Marlin on my own build Ordbot Hadron. 1) After switching on, Marlin uses the current postion as 0/0/0 point. In the options by default of Marlin it doesn't allow moves to negative axis position. You can change this by changing the _MIN_POS values: // Travel limits after homing #define X_MAX_POS 210 #define X_MIN_POS 0 #define Y_MAX_POS 205 #define Y_MIN_POS 0 #define Z_MAX_POS 134von my-home-fab - Reprappers
