I can't figure out why slic3r is adding extra material to the first layer of my object. In the picture you can see two objects, first layer of print. One is just a little wider outside dimensions, but everything else is the same. On the right side of the picture, the smaller inside rectangle should be empty, like the top object. Only the first layer is getting that extra material, and from there

Thanks. I let it go for over an hour before and after netfabb and mods to the object. Guessing maybe its my infill settings. Don't think its my pc, although I did have like 20 tabs open....
Do you happen to remember your infill settings?
Thanks again.

I use ABS, hairspray on glass, and the object usually pops free by itself at between 35-45 degrees. I was just thinking if you didn't want to wait for it to cool down, then heat back up to print again. Or possibly have to re-level the bed if swapping out the glass. Save a few minutes.
The compressed air I'm thinking of is used on keyboards/etc to blow away dust and debris, so I don't think there

Has anyone tried to freeze the printed part, with compressed air, to release it from the heated bed? You could turn a can of endust(compressed air) upside down to freeze spray the object, if you were in a hurry to print another part. It might crack the glass, but if you just spray the object I think it would work?

I made an object in sketchup, exported it as .stl, and can't get slic3r to process it. I've tried running it through netfabb and Slic3r still hangs.
Object is attached. Created in Sketchup 2013, exported with stl exporter extension, slic3r version 1.0.0. .4mm nozzle, 3mm filament.
Thanks
