I was getting similar sort of dimensional issues like you describe. Its a matter of getting measurements measured right and entered correctly. The pulleys are really sensitive to what circumference you enter and the homing angles on the arms are critical too. They are the ones I struggled with most. Really make sure all the arms home at the same angle. Its critical. As for the arm pulleys, I put

TL;DR: calibration is very very difficult. Error propagates in non linear ways in 3 space. I spent days calibrating it, in the end I nearly got it spot on, except everything was 4% too short in the Z direction. The arduino can handle a maximum of 40 segments per second. Toolhead switching on a delta: switch out different nozzles (which have different colors or materials in them).
e.g. like this:
Over there the hotend could shift on the endeffectors magnets in the xy directions. If magnetic balls instead of flat magnets were used (like on magnetic rod ends), that potential movement could be eliminated.

Thanks. What sort of variation do you get in one roll of filament?
The 3mm diamond age filament can vary from 2.80 to 2.84mm in a roll. From roll to roll it can vary a bit more. 2.8 - 2.9 ish.
EDIT: diamond age used to be cheaper..

Hi all,
Can anyone vouch for the quality of some of the filaments for sale on trademe?
So far I've been sourcing from diamondage.co.nz but the only have 3mm filament that is reasonably price, their 1.75mm is significantly more expensive.
By the time you add tax, and shipping, one roll set me back $70 which is far too much. It wouldn't be as bad with shipping when buying more, but really I'm loo

PLA, its easy going. ABS warps. HIPS isn't bad, but I have no reason to use it.

Reportedly, you don't need much power to sinter nylon, if you heat the nylon to the edge of its melting point inside the build chamber, you only need a couple of watts. If you do some further reading you will find this mentioned.
