LOL, Good idea using a glue gun! Hey, maybe we can use them for other nozzles too?!by Marcx - Look what I made!
The site is quite impressive, a lot of effort must have gone into it. But since they haven't replied to any emails it appears to be a ghost ship. Weird...by Marcx - General Mendel Topics
Mt machine hasn't arrived yet but it's one of the things I was thinking about to build one's own. Somewhere there are some discussions about it. My thoughts are that to be accurate the line would have to be reeled on/off some thread (as in bolt-thread) on the motor spindle that it is fixed to. If it were on a spool, it would just layer on top of itself and change the diameter slightly.by Marcx - General Mendel Topics
Since one would only be using one extruder at a time, I'm wondering if one couldn't run 2 (or more) extruders from the same driver by switching the current on or off with a mosfet on the other end of the motors. Would be very simply done with a couple of mosfets on unipolar steppers.by Marcx - General
Hello there, nice machine! Just wondering what the weight of it is because I would need to take the kit abroad in a suitcase?by Marcx - Mendel90
For a haul-off or pinch rollers, how about using those tiny drum sanding attachments for mini drills, they are about 10-12 mm in diameter and dead cheap Like these:by Marcx - General
That's correct Bobc, Waitaki is confused. Nobody said they had anything to do with each other. I have not sent RepRapPRO any emails, though it looks likely I will place an order with them for exactly the same reasons Trustytrev mentions. I am also tempted by Nophead's Suave Mendel90 with 20cm Zaxis though. As for NEXTDAYreprap and their comprehensive website, I suggest people try to contact thby Marcx - General Mendel Topics
Are the machines metric or imperial and what about Import taxes to GB?by Marcx - For Sale
Indeed! Particularly since I would save them the aggro of having to pack it and post it, plus I would buy other things from them. I think it's a particularly british thing though. I have found that Brits just cannot organise themselves. I would buy a RepRapPro if they didn't have a 20 day lead time. Why don't they just make the effort of clearing the backlog? Third day waiting for nextdayreprap to reply to my enquiry emails. I am starting to smell a rat! Edit: Nope nothing today either! Have Nextdayreprap folded?by Marcx - General Mendel Topics
Injection moulding my own product was my business and I still own a tiny hand operated machine. I have also built my own fully automatic Inj. Moulding machines and rebuilt the electronics for old ones (Austin Allens mainly). The machines I built were tabletop ones and took about 2 months of work. They are pneumatic operated with hydraulic lock. The compressed air pushed oil from a reservoir intoby Marcx - Casting and Moldmaking Working Group
On the site it says they try and reply within two hours but I have been trying to contact them for 2 days and no reply to three emails. No tel number is given. I want to buy a machine and bits from them in person as I can drive to Tonbridge, which they give as their address. I'm not going to give over £500 to them via the internet if they don't reply to potential customers.by Marcx - General Mendel Topics
