Thank you DC, helpful as alwaysby Sardi - Ormerod
Do you mind just showing me how to do that exactly? Which jumper I need to position where and how? I found this image. So I suppose I need to put a jumper on the JP9, and remove it from JP10?by Sardi - Ormerod
The subject says it all. I want to convert my O1 power supply to O2 power supply and I need this regulator. I looked everywhere, but its nowhere to be found any more. Anyone has any idea where I could get one? Or if I even need it, maybe I can hook up everything without it?by Sardi - Ormerod
I had 2 reasons for a slower heating up of the hot ends. 1) power supply 2) not having done the PID tuning Doing/fixing either of those solved my problems.by Sardi - Ormerod
Thats nice to hear. Ive got 2 of them, O1 and O2, somewhat modified but not much. Still working nicely within my needs.by Sardi - Ormerod
Nice to have you back, but as you might have figured it yourself - absolutely nothing I have two of them, O1 and O2 with some upgrades, and Im still using them to the day.by Sardi - Ormerod
Sorted. Upgraded firmware to 1.18.1 and web interface to 1.15by Sardi - Ormerod
I have changed the MAC and IP address on my Ormerod 2, but it doesnt want to finish loading the page. They are both connected to a router, and Im controlling Ormerod 1 without any issues, but O2 page just keeps loading. EDIT: somehow managed to click "Connect" and get it to "Retrying" but that is as far as it goes.by Sardi - Ormerod
Thanks DC, will do that as soon as I finish printing the replacement parts for the 02.by Sardi - Ormerod
Is that possible? I own an Ormerod 1 that I control via web interface on my laptop, and I have recently purchased an used Ormerod 2.. Is it possible to somehow control both of them on 1 laptop via router or something?by Sardi - Ormerod
bump although Wes was last seen here on 20.06.2020..by Sardi - Ormerod
yeah. basically nothing should change much, Im only moving away from the printed parts extruder setup (gears, and extruder mount) to this new one.by Sardi - Ormerod
I got a hold of an Ormerod 2, so Im looking for a cooling fan. What do you guys have?by Sardi - Ormerod
My Ormerod 1 is 6yrs old, so Im doing some remakes to it First one is this extruder, had it as spare for Tevo Tarantula but never used it, now I wanna try it on my Ormerod. Any changes needed to config.g? Or just the steps calibration will do?by Sardi - Ormerod
QuoteVertikar Hi All, Have had a look at my printer after a couple of years of not using it and a house move in between, and quite a few of the PLA parts have cracked. I suspect I may have overtightened some of the screws, but am I better off reprinting in ABS or something else to avoid similar problems in the future? All of these (and more) have cracked over the years for me, I have reprintedby Sardi - Ormerod
Managed to stick all broken parts together with aluminum tape, holds strong enough for me to print spare parts. I found a folder on my pc with a lot of dxf files of ormerod parts, so Im printing from it.by Sardi - Ormerod
The topic says it all.. The fillament roll was tangled, pulled the ormerod down from the table about 80cm high. Both acrylic parts of the Y axis (one near the motor bracket and other the idler bracket) are smashed into pieces and cant be glued any more. Any stl anywhere for them? I cant seem to find them. And if not, any suggestions on what I should do? I am in the middle of an order and needby Sardi - Ormerod
Not at this time, thank you and sorry for (very) late replyby Sardi - Ormerod
I have basically tried everything but contacting RepRap Ltd directly what is Im gonna do next. I did find a couple of heat beds, but they are just heat beds, no looms, cables, nothing, and I would really like to have the whole set.by Sardi - Ormerod
The plan is to switch my Ormerod1 heat bed for the Ormerod2 heat bed and to get rid of this ribbon cable, but for some reason I have failed in all my attempts to find an Ormerod 2 heat bed (complete one, with cables and everything loomed). Can anyone point me to where I could buy one?by Sardi - Ormerod
Regarding PID Autotune, I followed THIS ARTICLE QuoteKaroo Klong And here is the exact problem I was talking about. Removing Crimps from Hotend Connector? Yes, those connectors are pain in the ass. But I have wires long enough so if the case is that I have to replace the whole thing, I would just cut the wires and recrimp everything. Just go for an easy solution there.by Sardi - Ormerod
Im gonna be honest with you and tell you that I have no idea why it started working after autotune. It just did. Hardware wise everyting is ok, Ive checked the crimps, cables, connectors, wires, unplugged, replugged, everything was in place and those actions didnt fix my problem. A simple autotune did, so was it something within the hardware? No idea. What I can say is that every time I dont useby Sardi - Ormerod
I guess the auto tune did something, because I just finished a 2hr print.by Sardi - Ormerod
I did not use M500 after the auto tune, I went straight to print. So far so good, last time it stopped somewhere mid first layer, so Ill report back.by Sardi - Ormerod
I keep getting these errors: Error: Heating fault on heater 1, temperature rising much more slowly than the expected 1.0°C/sec Error: Heating fault on heater 1, temperature excursion exceeded 15.0°C The error comes either sometimes during the print, or when I set the hotend temp and wait for it to reach. Sometimes the temp shoots over +20C and then I get the second error msg. The cables and coby Sardi - Ormerod
Just to confirm, it was the PSU at fault. LEDs do not flicker any more.by Sardi - Ormerod
I placed an order for a new PSU, found a good deal for a LC 650W, down from 65e to 50e, going to pick it up today. Thank you for helping me out Dave, cheersby Sardi - Ormerod
It does look like that, true. And the soldering on the back is ok. So maybe that is the issue here? I just turned the printer on after a day of not printing, started heating the bed and hot end, and it shut down again. I didnt mention that when it shuts down, I must unplug the AC cord from the PSU in order to start it up again, I cant just pres 0/I on the PSU and start it up.by Sardi - Ormerod
Got to be honest, I really dont know what a dummy resistor is, but here is a photo of the atx adapter, so if those 1K guys are it, they look good to me.by Sardi - Ormerod
Right now it shut down again by itself. No msg on gcode console, just a popup about a communication error.by Sardi - Ormerod
