I've wondered about dowsing the part in something with low viscosity like Cyanoacrylate and immediately placing it in a airtight box and providing a vacuum. Literally suck the glue into the recesses of the print. That would be come insanely durable material.by FrankenPC - General
Using latest Sprinter source. Arduino 1.0.1 IDE. Have the Sanguino hardware device copied into the Arduino software. Firmware compiles fine. Go to upload using the "reset button trick" and it will not work under any timing circumstances. I get these errors: avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0xee or 0x00 avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x23 or 0x21, or whatever dependiby FrankenPC - Firmware - mainstream and related support

I had a similar problem. Ended up my hot end temperature controller was driving the temps too high. So the ABS sort of carbonized inside the head. That made it nearly impossible to squeeze the filament through. Had to replace the head. It never worked the same after that. Point being, I kept thinking it was the hobbed bolt or the tension. It was neither.by FrankenPC - Reprappers
That would be great! But after fussing for about a week with my first Prusa I can imagine the art of tuning would be a forever thing (things getting loose over time, parts failing). It would be nice to have a dimensional correct print that can be reinforced without the "art" part. I'm not much of an artistby FrankenPC - Reprappers
Hi, new to RepRap. My Prusa is still undergoing tuning. But, the bugs are slowly being worked out. Wow this is complicated... ANYWHO...has anyone attempted to place their printed object in a vacuum chamber with an epoxy resin? I was wondering if impregnation with resin would be worthwhile. It would certainly make the object bulletproof. Many pieces could be placed in a vacuum chamber at onby FrankenPC - Reprappers
