Thanks for the reply carel I am actually using a repstrap, i have threaded rod driving my axes until i can print my brackets I will have a look for the calculatorby hydronuclear - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Greetings I seem to be having an acceleration problem with much tinkering i came across the idea to just drop all the sittings low and see if this help, and to my surprise they did What happens is that my X axis just stops working, i get a high pitched whining noise from the motor and nothing till the next movement and so the cycle repeats, i dropped my max acceleration down to 1 what are the iby hydronuclear - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Ok so i have found my problem, its something to do with the acceleration settings, when i set them very low, the axis moves but then at full acceleration it just stops, this is due to my motors Is there anywhere to set the max acceleration?by hydronuclear - RAMPS Electronics
I came across something interesting while editing the GCODE the printer homes to the one end stop and from there stops working, just gives this high pitched noise and locks the Y axisby hydronuclear - RAMPS Electronics
Hi So i have been tinkering for a while now and I have found that my X axis motor just stops, but its only on certain movements Im pretty much in the testing phase of my MDF wolfstrap I am running marlin and pronterface on windows All the axes run perfectly when testing in pronterface but when i load up G code, the X axis just doesnt move, i get a high pitch whining noise from the motor and itby hydronuclear - RAMPS Electronics
Problem is fixed, I was looking around the pololu forum and came across this article Calibrating pololu stepper drivers I calibrated the motors and I can now run it with serial output from test code Still have a long way to go but I'll get there Thanks for all the helpby hydronuclear - Reprappers
The motors stand still, the problem comes in when the code tells them to move, anything more than a second delay makes them jumpyby hydronuclear - Reprappers
Greetings Reprappers I have started building a wolfstrap to build a reprap, i have a ramps 1.4 with the pololu stepper controllers and have modified a 300 watt pc power supply my issue is that my steppers seem to be a bit crazy, I am using the test code to check my steppers, if I increase the delay or try print serial output the steppers start moving irratically and the drivers start heating uby hydronuclear - Reprappers
