Any progress on this issue? I have a similar problem.by Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
Sorry, I haven't tried it yet. Still using my work around, and dealing other problems. I'll look into and maybe try soon. As a fellow noob, we're all in this together.by Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
Well, it looks like I figured it out. I retorched the nozzle, followed by some blasts from an air compressor. I then put it under an antique microscope and looked down the nozzle hole to find a small obstruction. Not sure what it was as everything else burned away clean. So I carefully reamed it out with a very small drill bit and blasted it again with the compressed air. It seems to be workby Ej - General Mendel Topics
interesting. i haven't noticed the motor getting hot but haven't checked either. i've checked that when i ask pronterface to feed 20mm of filament in, it does indeed do 20. does that answer the question or shall I check another way?by Ej - General Mendel Topics
Yeah that was what I thought. I took the nozzle off and cleaned it with a torch. It looked pretty spotless when I reassembled it. I did not use acetone. I also reamed of out the inner Teflon tube inside the hotend as it was a bit snug but now is good. Should I try acetone instead of torch? Is there another thing to clean out that I'm over looking? It's a j-head .35mm.by Ej - General Mendel Topics
Thanks. Yes I checked it out and it's all plumb. The nozzle is the correct height from the bed for the first layer across the print, it's the extrusion that is too small to adhere.by Ej - General Mendel Topics
No problem. Have you seen this:by Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi there, I'm having trouble. I've been having great results with my printer for about a month and a half. But suddenly I find after about the first 50 or 60mm of the skirt, the extrusion gets too thin to adhere to the bed. I've tried all I can think of, including: changing the print speed of the first layer, cleaning the nozzle, adjusting the first layer height percentage, checking the e steby Ej - General Mendel Topics
I'm coming into some of the same issues. I get too much plastic at the corners of some of the calibration cudes and stuff. I haven't had too much luck with overhangs above 45D. As you describe, the ABS curls up and sometimes a collision with the nozzle can dislodge the whole part from the bed. Have you made any progress?by Ej - Reprappers
yes, i did realize that at one point, it was bit confusing. it is indeed the digital 18, 19, 20 that are not working as expected (include the D21 in that list too, but i put that on another post). after i ran some wire jumpers to some unused digital pins and a changed pin.h to reflect this, i got good results. a temporary. fix. any idea why there's a problem with these pins, on 3 atmegas? iby Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
frustrating. i replaced the ATmega644p (twice) and still have the same problems. the endstops are having no affect. m119 report doesn't change if when the endstops are manually triggered, although my meter reads 5V across the switch leads when i manully close them. i have tested and found good continuity from the signal side of the endstop switch to the cooresponding pin on the ATmega (accordby Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi all, I'm having trouble getting my end stops to work. I suspect it's something I'm over looking. My setup: Prusa Mendel, sanguinololu with stepsticks, atx power supply, sprinter firmware, mechanical endstops. When I run Pronterface, I can move all axis both direction, but nothing seems to happen when the endstops are triggered. When I set the ENDSTOP_INVERT to true, then each axis only moby Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
well, borrowed an used pin (D17) and connected it to the D21 pin socket after bending the D21 up out of the way, reassigned D17 to x direction and it works. I finally have both directions on the x axis. this will have to be a temporary fix until i can replace the chip. thanks for the help.by Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
thanks for the help. does anyone know if there is an unused pin i can reassign as the xdirection in hte pin assignments?by Ej - Sanguino(lolu)
Hey all, I got a problem: after setting up my rig (Prusa Mendel, sanguinololu with stepsticks, atx power supply, sprinter firmware) I loaded up pronterface to do some calibration. Everything worked fine after a few adjustments to the configurations.h, all accept the x axis. It moves only one direction, to the left, when I press both x- and x+ , both move to the left.
