I figured that it was, for some strange reason it still won't work with the newest version either. I'm also assuming you mean another program altogether. The problem isn't even the rendering. it runs in the background, it just takes super long exporting. and strictly exportingby domtropen - Reprappers
So slic3r takes way too long to export, thing is the file is visible when I went to cancel it I can see that it finishes everything and stops at the m84 command to stop motors and then tells me how much filament was used in the gcode. Sad part is that slic3r technically finished the export since I can proceed to take that file and print. (I also know its done because I go through the process on aby domtropen - Reprappers
I have been doing the Bridge torture test, and I still get a lot of issues. I've read about a whole bunch of things to look at but is there a specific guide or criteria on the slicer settings that I should take a speacial look at? I am using a prusa I2 Thanks!by domtropen - Printing
Save timee andmoney use a gluestick and apply it to the surface. ithelped me. Although I never used nylon it may be a cheap altby domtropen - Printing
Actually, it was unti very recently, it tops off at 160 each time but at that point it would boild the plastic PLA. I'm using the Them #5 as this was the default one, I check to see if there was a short of any kind, none so far.... But I I used my ohmeter to measure the resistance at room temp... at toom temp it was 99.7 on the 200 kby domtropen - General Mendel Topics
Hey Guys, So I 'm building a RepRap Prusa I2, Now everything has been assembled, but when I heat up my hot end its max temp reading is 160. It obviously gets hotter since the PLA begins to emit fumes. and the ABS Parts really feel the heat and get warped (which is really bad). Any Ideas? I'm currently using Sprinter and Pronterface software.by domtropen - General Mendel Topics
So I just checked finished unclogging my hot end(but taking it apart and removing the plastic. So but now the hot end only tops off at 160, but it clearly gets hotter( I know this because fumes out of the hot end, which never happened before). I switched thermistors, but still prob persists and I made sure the sprinter filesare updated respectively. but it keeps reading at ths temp and its obviouby domtropen - General Mendel Topics
Thanks Andrew Smith, it turns outs it was this bit that needed to be changed, disable this : #define STEP_DELAY_MICROS 1 After that it was working aweseomly!by domtropen - Reprappers
I tired to change the connections, nothing so far. Motors go into high pitch when going in one direction, and then nothing in the other. But Still no idea, what I am trying is mostly shots in the dark.by domtropen - Reprappers
Hello! So Recently I tried to re uupload the files and now the motors don't work. This is my file, I am using RAMPS 1.4 & it is Prusa I2, Here's the config file #ifndef CONFIGURATION_H #define CONFIGURATION_H // BASIC SETTINGS: select your board type, thermistor type, axis scaling, and endstop configuration //// The following define selects which electronics board you have. Please chooseby domtropen - Reprappers
Update: I installed a fan to see if the heating would be the problem but it isn't the problem. I think it may be a short on the ramps. Any way to check this?by domtropen - Reprappers
Update, well I found that the wire was loose but that wasn't the problem. It still shuts off rather quicklyby domtropen - Reprappers
Well to be fair, all my connections are secure, but shaking the wires that connect to the heat bed is probably loose, so I will check that, thanks!by domtropen - Reprappers
So I just got this device to work, but the heatbed shuts off uncontrollably. I noticed that it is the power going into the heatbed and not the heatbed itself. I'm building the Prusa i2, using ramps 1.4. ideas on where I can search for the problem.the software doesn't seem to tell it to shutoff so it doesn't seem like this is the problem. Ideas?by domtropen - Reprappers
So this is a Prusa i2 i'm using the moon heat bed. So at first I thought the issue was just electrical, but maybe it's more... I bought 2 grayness though and the issue is it heats up only 2/3rds of the surface... Where one end can get really hot while it's child on the other end.ideas?by domtropen - Reprappers
The oil thing worked like a charm! Thanks! I used olive oil(I hate vegatable oil) I asked the seller, they seem to have a good handle on what they are working with, they suggested that I use Seal fat or threaded but I have no idea what that is. Now to fix that leaking issue..by domtropen - Printing
I notitced that its actually leaking through the threads where the hot end and the pfte tub meet, is that even supposed to happen?? I will add cooking oil and see what happens next! EDIT: THe cooking oil literally lets the pla fly out! Good idea! Now if there was a way to have it self lubricated....by domtropen - Printing
i know it pushes and pulls the extrusion but I know it is the hot end i may just push the temp(atm i press it out at 190c), but how would i measure the pressue the extrusion it puts out?by domtropen - Printing
So I have built my prusa i2 without a hitch. After some testing and examing the heat bed, I have realized that that printing desn't really function because the heated end coninuosly clogs. The only way it actaully printer properly is if I push the filament. I'm using PLA and the recommended settings on pronterface to print. Suggestions?by domtropen - Printing
Actually it was just that I needed to change the values of the endstops from false to true in the configuration filesby domtropen - Reprappers
Greetings! I am currenly building my reprap prusa i2 (using Pronterface as my software). Everything works, except my endstops(using GPL v3), the motors will not work at all unless they are switched on. However if I press it on so that the led lights up, it will move. Of course this sounds like a software problem, or a wiring problem but I have tried multip combinations so I am am positive that iby domtropen - Reprappers
Hey I figured out that I have the same problem, have you referred to other posts to see if the troubleshooting there doesn't help(probrably won't)by domtropen - Reprappers
Yes in fact I had the firmware installed and everything worked very early on I also had the firmware installed as well, but as I was testing it made no difference as I couln't get any of the stepper motors going, so I just stuck with the y axis motor just to minimize risk UPDATE: I relized that high pitch whine coming from the motor meant the power could be a bit high, still the same issue persiby domtropen - Printing
Greetings, I am getting so close to finishing this project! I am working on the reprap i2. The major structure of the prusa i2 is assembled and all I have left is the electronics... Now I have I have a problem which is the motors won't turn, well they will if I use pronter face and i press the y direction enough times it will move, otherwise it just vibrates and won't turn. Now I messed with thby domtropen - Printing
