I managed to fix the problem. It seemed to be in slicer as it entered the command to lift the nozzle for heating after the command for homing. The printer homed then it heated up the bed and then it lifted the nozzle to heat up. However it never made it come back down. So I switched the order of the gcode and I home the axis after the heating and then it starts to print correctly. And for the gapby Stalker - Printing
Well it worked fine fór couple of tests and it extruded the exact length of filament as I asked it to in pronterface. So I thought no further calibration is required. What exactly has to be changed to make sure that it is properly calibrated? I've checked the e steps and they are correctby Stalker - Printing
J- head mk iv is the type of hot end i used. How ever i tried it again with different gcode and the hot end broke completely. So I'll try to make my own hotend body. But still I'd like to know go to change the extrusion speedby Stalker - Printing
Hi guys i fixed my previous problem and another one showed up imidiatelly. I tried to print a test cube and as the print began everything was fine the bed heated up then the hotend heated up to 230°C (ABS fillament) and all the axis homed. But when the actual print began the extruder probably pushed the fillament in to quickly and the pressure pushed the metal part of hotend out of the plastic caby Stalker - Printing
I tried that and it seems that thats not an issue i got this as a response ''echo:Home offset (mm): echo: M206 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00'' . Any other ideas ?by Stalker - Printing
Hi guys, yesterday I've tried couple of prints on my printer and found out that the printing always starts about 1.25 cm above the glass on the heated bed. The home position for z axis is set to be approximately 0.2mm (1 sheet of paper) above the glass however as the printing starts the z axis homes and then moves 1.25 cm above the right hand corner of the heat bed and starts to print. Obviouslyby Stalker - Printing
I have done all of the points above and the axis move all the way in oné direction and only about 3 cm in the other no matter what the starting position is. I found something like this in configuration.h define_endstop_min_ value and the same fór max values but i dont know the values. Is it on steps or mm or pulses or something else ?by Stalker - RAMPS Electronics
How ever a detailed step by step manual on how to set up both min and max values fór endstops and how to define homing position would be very helpfullby Stalker - RAMPS Electronics
You can try inverting Logic of your endstops in your firmware so that they would be triggered the other way roundby Stalker - RAMPS Electronics
I have defined the endstops max value to be 205 and min value to be 0 but the axis move about 8 cm onlyby Stalker - RAMPS Electronics
Hi i had the samé problem. Try the m119 command to see the status of the endstops in my case the min value was triggered and so it moved only in oné direction. Even though i fixed this i have a problem defining the endstops. How do you define properly the length of the axis on marlin so that the printer knows how far it can move bedore stopping ?by Stalker - RAMPS Electronics
Hi the end stops helped me with moving my y and z axis but i still cant move x axis properly. The vibrations turned out to be loose timing belt. Now im trying to fix the heatbed i get no readings from the bed termistor and the heatbed wont heat up even though it is both configured in merlin. How do i properly set up a min point for the motors as i only have three endstops ?by Stalker - Reprappers
Hi guys I found time to get back to my printer and it turned out that the problem was the power supply. Now i mannaged to move all the motors but the problem is that when i conect it to pronterface it moves only one way and i can not make them move the other all the motors are conected exactly the same way and only y axis moves both ways. Another thing is that some motors stop moving and start toby Stalker - Reprappers
that is exactly the same. What potentiometr are you talking about ? The one thats on the LCD board ? And if so is it the biger one or the smaller one that has to be adjusted with a screw driver ?by Stalker - Reprappers
Thanks for the tip I actually have a 300w atx power supply and to the 11A port I connected the 12V line and to the 5A port 5V line. Ill try to connect the 12v line to the 5A port and see if it works.by Stalker - Reprappers
First I tried merlin and configured it according to this website . That worked to some extend i was able to conect the pronterface and control the hotend and powersupply but that was all. So i decided to try the test code (http://reprap.org/wiki/RAMPS_1.4 at the bottom of the page) to see if my wiring is right. With this code the hotend and heatbed started to heat up slowly. But none of the steppby Stalker - Reprappers
Hi I have a problem. I finished my Prusa i3 printer but ramps seems not to work. I connected the power supply and arduino and uploaded the test code from reprap wiki but the only two thigs that work are hotend and heatbed. I tried to meassure if anything is going on on the output for stepper motors but theres no voltage at all. Another problem is i am not sure if i have my nema 17 motors wired coby Stalker - Reprappers
