it's a 20mm cubed cube I'm pretty sure my speed has little to do with it because I just attempted to print another one at 30mm/s and there was absolutely ZERO difference.by Hephaestus0000 - Printing

Tell me what additional info you need: PLA 185c nozzle 75c bed 200mms print speed (This is my goal speed and I'm NOT slowing down after all my BS prior to my new setup) I just want to print............ Quotefrankvdh QuoteHephaestus0000 I can't get this thing to print without spending a minimum of another $100 so it's getting a big smashy hammer. Spend $100 on it and you have a $500 printer, I guess. Smash it and you got nothing. $100 I'd rather put in my bikes gas tank than fix something that should work somewhat reasonably, instead of not working at all. If I could even print at a reasonabby Hephaestus0000 - Printing
Quotedeaconfrost The hotend is the first thing to replace, just in my case other bits broke shortly after it was in operation, but it never printed anything like it does now, nowhere near. Stock Folger Tech is garbage I do agree, and I was told by a friend that these guys don't even have the basic understanding of voltage and amperage, kinda explain why these printer kits are so poorly put togethby Hephaestus0000 - Printing

Okay.... I've f***ing had it with this POS FolgerTech prusa I need some answers. First thread I JUST put this back together after a 4 day acetone bath. No other settings were changed. my print speed is 20mm/s and the extruder motor is still clicking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I wish I could turn my printer up passed 25mm/s....... Now that I know someone else experiences similar issues, I'm not as concerned about it.by Hephaestus0000 - Printing
This is something that I've just noticed and I'm wondering if this is normal? I recently timed a 3 hour print. It was off by over 2 hours. Currently printing a 6 hour print and so far it's off by 3 hours with more than an hour to go. I know the print ETA is just an estimation.... But..... This is off by quite a bit. Normal? If not, is there a way to fix this?by Hephaestus0000 - Printing
I'm using 1.75mm. At 210*c I'm not getting scorching or discoloured prints (that I can visibly detect). I can check with the house temps but that's about it. I've gone way over what I have allowed myself to spend on the printer just getting it to this point. I physically cannot get it to print any faster than 20mm/s. Unless of course I wish to listen to the song of the extruder people... Quoteby Hephaestus0000 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteChris RapI print structural stuff at .4 mm layers and at 60 mm/s print speeds with 150 mm/s travel speeds. This means I chug out a lot more plastic then you to boot. For these prints I run PLA at 190-195 C and when I do detail work (.2 and .1 mm layer) I run at 185 and this is "no click" unless its a thick block in excess of 20 cubic inches with minimal travel. My spool moves about every 10 sby Hephaestus0000 - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotekrwynn QuoteVanbot the hotend Folger supplies isn't very good. :-) You continually say stuff like this which could give someone the wrong impression. I have had no problems with my hotend, clicking or anything else. My full graphics contoller worked 5 minutes after I followed the guidance (Toms) and has worked flawlessly ever sense. Lucky you. Unfortunately there seem to be more people wiby Hephaestus0000 - Prusa i3 and variants
Without trying to make another thread..... I'm back where I started. Made a couple parts and the clicking/skipping started again... If I had a shotgun right now this printer would be the target...... What is going on with this printer?by Hephaestus0000 - Printing
My Folger Tech kit came with two belt tensioner springs. Yours should too.by Hephaestus0000 - Printing
Just an update. Printer is printing without clicking. Here's what I've done in addition to the main list. 1. Adjusted my steps per mm down a few steps (3.333) from where it should be set to properly extrude 100mm of filament. I was initially at 90. Needed to be at 83.333 for a proper 100mm but still clicked. Dropped down to 80. 2. I've loosened the two screws that hold the extruder body togetby Hephaestus0000 - Printing
