has anyone used one of the secondary extruder as a 4th axis? if no one has done it, the marlin code is pretty big which files I should be looking into to make this modifications? I will like to add endstop to one of the extruder to make it a 4th axisby scancool - Firmware - Marlin

I'm sending gcode using python over serial the motor moves fine but is not tracking the movement, is this not done on marlin or it has to be done outside marlin? pi@raspberry:~/python $ python sendserial.py run gcode : 1 Sending: M114 : X:0.00 Y:0.00 Z:0.00 E:0.00 Count X:0 Y:0 Z:0 Sending: G01 X10 F50 : ok Sending: M84 : ok Sending: : echo:busy: processing pi@raspberry:~/python $ python sby scancool - Firmware - Marlin
I found the configuration, it homes the axis now // Homing speeds (mm/m) #define HOMING_FEEDRATE_XY (4*60) //50*60 #define HOMING_FEEDRATE_Z (4*60)by scancool - Firmware - Marlin
This might just be a configuration error, After moving the Y axis motor "G1 Y10 F180" it moves with no problems but when I do "G28 Y" the motor just makes a buzzing sound and I get an error. I had tested the limit switch with the command M119 and it shows "y_min: open" and "y_min: TRIGGERED" when is press, so the switch is working what else should I look for? This is my log >>> G1 Y1by scancool - Firmware - Marlin

I'm trying understanding how to send Gcode to marlin, I'm using Pronterface, when I start the program and I send G1 Z10 the stepper motor does not move just makes a sound but if I press extrude button before sending G1 Z10 it moves just fine, what does the extrude button does that makes the G code work?by scancool - Firmware - Marlin
