QuoteMasterjuggler There was a limit of 260C added in the last one or two updates. To change it, just add the line "M143 S280" to your config file. In my example, the limit would be changed to 280C. PID has since switched over to an entirely new method, including auto-tuning. You can find the procedure for how to do that here (Clicky!). Thank you! Sods law, I found it just after posting. Just lost my SD card (pinged out and down a crevis I cant get at) and don't have my config backed up so O figured while i'm starting from scratch I should update the firmware too, it hasn't been updated for a good year now. All seemed well and after refreshing myself with the procedure I set about rebuilding the config file for my mini Kossel. Couple of questions: If I set the nozzle temp toby wayno complaino - Duet
Not sure if i'm ready for a counterweight, at the moment everything is inside the frame making it easy to move and transport. The counterweight obviously does the the job mind, just need a slightly more refined solution ;-)by wayno complaino - Delta Machines
I was thinking of using shocks from an RC car. Without the spring but the oil filled damper would work well I think. Now i have it built i can work out the best stroke length. One thing I'm not keen on is if the motors turn off while the head is off to one edge the weight/mass causes the head to drop to the middle (where all three carrages/motors have enough resistance to hold the weight, or itby wayno complaino - Delta Machines
Quotenebbian Thank you all for posting your ideas and experiences with this system. I finally put mine together tonight, here's a picture of it: Haven't had much time with it yet, but I have high hopes. I've hit the limits of a long bowden tube, this one is 5 times shorter than the old system so that's got to be 5 times better, right? Looking forward to seeing how it performs. First off thanks for your work on this web interface, ive just updated to 1.08 and am loving being able to edit the config file on the fly. Its also noticeably faster and the web cam ability is great when i'm arguing the case against someone using octopi. Quick question, Im unable to adjust the speed and extrusion factor using the sliders in the web inerface. I'm using DC42s latest firmware andby wayno complaino - Firmware - mainstream and related support

Quotedc42 Some suggestions: 1. Make sure you are running DuetWebControl 1.08. It avoids an issue caused by over-long cookies that affected some systems, depending on what browser you used. Already on it and loving the ability to edit the config file! 2. Clear all cookies used by the Duet's IP address from your browser(s). Gave it a go with no change 3. Quotemhackney Routinely seeing > 200 kb/s I saw significant speed increases on the first day of use, the web app opened and connected within seconds and uploading files didnt feel like a wait. Now though im getting AJAX errors, dropouts, taking forever to load the web app and when it does work im seeing 11kb/s uploads. Pretty much as i was getting before when using k and previous. This obviously has taken a back seat recently as I've had other priorities (new baby and being skint). Things are returning to normal now so I hope to get back on the large Kossel build in one form or another. My design skills have improved and the Mini Kossel is more refined so i'm hoping this will help with the large parts. I have ordered the diamond hotend too.....by wayno complaino - Delta Machines
I'm finding my prints are coming out slightly undersize, if i scale up to 102% in slic3r it prints perfectly. Is there something i can change in the config file to adjust? I'm assuming its a steps per mm thing, i remember setting something up when i first got it when running marlin on ramps (now running duet). I've been happy until now as ive not needed dimensional accuracy in larger parts, smby wayno complaino - Delta Machines

Having the printer on 'stand by' by having the 5V always on but with everything 12V powered down is what i'm after. The Mrs worries that I'll burn down the house in the night. Just the fact that the fans and 12V light are still on in the morning makes her worry. I wasn't sure if just running the commands in reverse would work and pull up to 3-5V, sometimes these sort of 'switches' are just leftby wayno complaino - Ormerod
Hi all, I have a mini kossel but asking here as its the home of the DUET..... I'm aware the DUET and DC42s firmware can now control and ATX power supply using M80/M81. An ATX needs PON to be low (0V) to turn the supply ON. GREAT. BUT, an Xbox power supply (as i have laying around unused) needs to be pulled high (3-5V) to turn the supply ON. It still has a 5V standby like an ATX. Is this somethby wayno complaino - Ormerod

Alignment, now there's a question! I've just today bolted the printed parts to the extrusion and the bottom corners are looking promising. They line up nicely and the towers are quite square, enough that when bolted together any misalignment over the whole length can be compensated for while tightening the bolts. +1 for a beeper. The option to add yourself after is fine. in fact feature requests that would push the BOM over the top but not take much to implement in the board layout should be considered as user optional add-ons and included. Most people looking to buy this sort of product will have basic soldering skills and wouldn't mind spending a few quid upgrading a cheap board to their own requiremeby wayno complaino - Ormerod

I was having similar issues and i found that my thermistor setting were wrong. At room temps it looked correct but when hot the temp recorded was higher than reality. This meant it wasn't melting the filament quite enough and caused the symptoms you describe plus regular blockages. Once i changed to the correct 'B' value for my thermistor it printed lovely every time. +1 to lowering the extruby wayno complaino - Delta Machines

Well, the enclosure has made a huge difference to the quality of large ABS prints.... Still some small cracks and very slight lifting but much better. Enclosure 'finished' Not perfect by any means but well enclosed. There are gaps in both top and bottom so there will be air being pulled through as it rises but hopefully no drafts just on a smaller test print opening the door at the ens it feels pretty toasty in there. It has made the whole printer more noisy though and the fiberboard resonates, shame as it was very quiet compared to any oby wayno complaino - Delta Machines
