Well the corner peices flex a bit as expected. so will be adding cross braces later.. maybe just pop rivet bits of angle on.

I think i might be lucky with the filament ive got a tthe moment. A duct would defintely solve the lifting problem. Cheers

Ive just started using one of these.. so far its going great...
Im just wondering how much the fan is needed? I have a fan rigged up, but i was getting prints lifting because of the air flow, so I tried printing with thefan turned off, and it still works good.
Cheers

Still need to do some work on this bit. Will have to see what the Aluhotends are like first on the printer I have now. Not sure about the hotend mounting height. Could move them further up Also need to fit in a fan and z probe.

well the one i got was all small guage, good for end stops, motor sensors. some of them were only terminated on one end, which plugs into the board, other end is free to solder onto switch etc. You would still need to get bigger wire for the heaters though.

Too much current going through that terminal. possibly a bad solder join or terminal wasnt tight enough?

Id suggest doing a search on ebay for "ramps wiring kit" Probably wont have everything you need, but the plugs are pre terminated, so saves alot of hassle. oh and they are cheap.

mine looks like that too. You could put some washers in between the motor and the mount.

Ive had something similar.. when it probes the bed it should go down hit the switch, back up and then go down again slowly to hit the switch a second time, then it raises the probe and goes onto the next point. mine was probing once and then going to the next point. Basically it wasnt lifting enough to deactivate the switch. I think i increased Z_RAISE_BETWEEN_PROBINGS by a mm.

PROBE_SERVO_DEACTIVATION_DELAY will stop it jerking. What sort of servo are you using? you might need to increase the value to give it time to move.

Glad you got it sorted!
Funny thing is Ive also got invert Z dir. probably for the same reason, to have all the plugs round the same way.

What about homing it over usb?
And yes the homing comand will make it go and find the new 0. Im wondering if the lcd is just sending it to Z0 instead of actually homing.

The travel is set by Z_MAX_LENGTH. So if the steps per mm are wrong then it might no go the distance.
your current Z steps per mm are "200.0*8/3" or 533.3, mine is 2560.
can you manually position it just above the bed (10mm) and then home Z?

Ive got a prusa i2 too. some things ive noticed differnt between your config file and mine:
I have endstop inverting set to false
I have commented out #define DISABLE_MAX_ENDSTOPS.
Also my steps per unit are differnt:
#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,200.0*16/1.25,730}
have you measured how far Z moves when commanded?
Also have you tested the Z endstop? (Homing Z and then triggeri

Im designing a core-xy printer, loosley based off (copying parts from):
Some design considerations:
All parts to be inside the cube. (asthetics and prevents things getting knocked. also makes it easy to enclose)
A bigger build area than normal. Id like to go as big as possible, but it has to fit through a door, so that limits with to 800mm. Im using 10mm rod, so Im thinking about a build are
