I recently had the exact same problem. To solve the problem I switched from a standard threaded rod to a ACME lead screw (nut - McMaster, Lead screw - McMaster ), I added a lower and upper bearing stabilizer and a manufactured x and y belt pulley. Total about $60 USD. Now I have nearly perfect prints. One last issue causing minor issues for me is random fluctuation in filament thickness.by peterp69 - Printing

I am using Slic3r 0.71 precomplied for Windows on Windows 7. Slic3r 0.71 has been work great for me until today. Today I keep on getting the same error no matter what I try to slice and with what configurations. I keep on getting the same exact error : Argument "" isn't numeric in numeric ne (!=) at C:/Users/peter/Desktop/Slic3r/lib/std/Slic3r/Print.pm line 634.
