Hey all. I've recently run into a problem with my Prusa i2 running on a 2010 MacBook Pro. Whenever I connect my printer to the USB ports on my computer OSX (10.9.4) shuts down the ports because it's apparently drawing a potentially dangerous amount of power. Both ports work with standard USB thumbdrives, etc so it seems like it's not a problem on the computer's end, but I've tried 3 different USBby andybratton - General
Hello all. After running 2 or 3 longish prints on my newly built Prusa i2, I've noticed that the my X-carriage has started to war severely at the location of the mounting screws, presumably due to heat. My kit came with an aluminum plate that fits between the ABS carriage and the extruder, but it's apparently not doing it's job as a heatsink. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it simply aby andybratton - Printing
Yeah I checked the G-Code and it was a problem with the slicer (Slic3er, btw). Easily fixed. Thanks!!by andybratton - Printing
Hello All. I've recently switched from Pronterface to Repetier and everything seems to be going well, except for that whenver I start printing, the program automatically sets the hotend temp to 200C, regardless of where I set it initially (235C). This temp is too low to print ABS, so I'm pretty sol. Anybody else experienced this? Thanks!by andybratton - Printing
I'm having a smilar issue. The all axis just stop moving randomly throughout the print, increasing print time as well as melting bottom layers producing bad prints. I'll try some of the solutions proposed above and get back to ya'll.by andybratton - Printing
