Thanks for your reply DD. I was eyeing ebay for months hoping to see a good deal on linear bearing (genuine). Eventually I started looking at new stuff and came across igus N and Ts, and finally a great deal on IKO. so I had to ask to not feel stupid later. Had no idea its for the curtains range. Looking at their promo video of industrial machines ... well marketing Went with wide IKO rails andby modred - Mechanics
I cannot find any information on anyone 'experience' with these slide systems. Has anyone ever tried to use them or even hold them? Is this something that could be used for axis movement? I am thinking of a core xy build and got curious with a respectable brands super budget offering all in spirit of the opinions that linear guide rails are an overkill for a 3d printer (aparently) I am thankfby modred - Mechanics
QuoteDjDemonD Whilst it looks cool and has "shiny gadget" written all over it, isn't it just a mk8 extruder but with a 3:1 gearbox rather than direct? I'm going to try one so e3d are going to get my money.... My initial feelings as well. Would love to see a real life comparison if anyone has both. My biggest disappointment came soon after great excitement when aero was announced. It is 1.75 orby modred - General
Thanks for your reply. Its not the case for the display as I also watched feedback via pronterface. Only always flashed firmware with PID values and never Eprom. will try that.by modred - Firmware - Marlin
I guess by posting I have tapped into reprap hive consciousness as day later I had 2 ideas: 1 - Switch to bang- bang mode for heated bed- Temp achieved, overshoots a little so further stability testing is required. 2- I am using a Lite6 and with it PWM is set to 150 as per E3D recommendation. I suspect it might affect the Bed even tho its set to max 255. Will be testing soon to confirm that.by modred - Firmware - Marlin
Hi, I had tried to search if this happened to anyone before but could not find anything so far. Whenever I am starting a print with heated bed target temp to be above 100 the last degree is not reached. Example Target 115 Heating reached 114 Target 110 Heating reached 109 Bed is insulated with a thick cork and I tried PID autotune several times. It seems like its somewhat more of softwby modred - Firmware - Marlin
