Do you have a fan blowing on the nozzle by chance?by milkypostman - Reprappers
What's the print speed? Do you have the fan starting later or is 40 in the object changing air flow?by milkypostman - Reprappers
Do you have a fan starting after layer one or something?by milkypostman - Reprappers
The glue stick works well but I just tried the blue painters tape and it's way better with less mess. I had a hell of a time getting the excess glue off. I didn't have a scraper though.by milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
How is it jamming? I'd be interested in seeing how the extruder assembly is all hooked up. Is the hotend maintaining temp?by milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
The creator of the Wilson sells kits. I don't know how but I found out info about it somewhere. You can search eBay for his sales and contact him directly about it. Originally I was going to source the parts myself then learned about the kit. Guess it's too late for you now so sorry about that. The major thing he does in his kit is provide high torque motors from automation technologies and proby milkypostman - Extruded Aluminum Frames
@AndrewBCN -- why did you second the Wilson rec. given your love of the p3steel? no kit?by milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
you should email him at mrice411 at gmail.com. tell him what you're looking for and he will either arrange something through paypal or ebay. alternatively you can also just search on ebay for one of the kits by searching for "wilson ts". It looks like there is one up there but the price is now $480 + shipping. but you can also email and setup a particular tweak to the kit if you want and he willby milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
for sure cost wise I think the replikeo is better. it's $300 with the aluminum and 1.75. However, I don't know what the quality of all the parts are; it says jhead but that could easily be a knock-off. It's unclear how good the motors are too. I also am not super fond of how the y-axis on the prusa connects. i mean, it looks like it's just a threaded rod with two nuts on each side. seems like itby milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
whoops missed that link sorry. Hard to see how the axis move. I just thought it'd be kinda funky.by milkypostman - Extruded Aluminum Frames
any chance of a video of this thing running? I would love to see that.by milkypostman - Extruded Aluminum Frames
you can hook up the rambo and use it to print your own mount. i mean, the rambo doesn't *need* to be mounted. just put a fan on it.by milkypostman - Extruded Aluminum Frames
I would say that you should also get the Wilson TS kit. I have it and am very super happy with is sans two things: 1. I got the J-head hotend and I wish I would've gotten the e3d lite that he's now selling with the kit. Long story on why but happy to rehash if anyone is curious. 2. If you have a mac I would source my own MEGA board. The version he sent me used some weird chinese USB controller wby milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
your z may also have too many steps setup. like maybe the head is moving up too much for each layer?by milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
what temp are you using?by milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
to me it looks like it's too hot. do you have a fan on the extruder or can you setup a fan to circulate a bit of air to see if that helps?by milkypostman - Prusa i3 and variants
