Thank you for your files! I just bought a Rapman 3.2 for $50 and thought I would give it a spin, and don't you know a google search away and I found your advice and files. Perfect! It's up and running just fine with your settings. Now I'm trying to upgrade the firmware, getting a "Verify Failure" when verifying the Hex file. Got it from 3D systems website. At least it's working now!by charleslow - Slic3r
I think I got an idea where to go from here. Thank you for your help!by charleslow - Smoothie
Thank you Victor for your help and advice. Yes, the delta isn't ideal for CNC milling but the system I'm setting up should be fine for PC board milling and drilling, and lasering should be pretty quick. Let's take the laser for example. How does the smoothieware for laser cutting know I'm using a Delta and not a Cartesian? Is the laser smoothieware able to go seamlessly between the two, and hby charleslow - Smoothie
How do I configure Smoothieboard to work on a Delta Printer for Laser cutting and CNC milling? I've looked around and found configuring Smoothieboard for the Delta printer for 3d printing, but no such luck in configuring a Delta for Laser or CNC. The big attraction for me is are the branches for Smoothieboard to handle laser cutting and CNC work, but these seem to target Cartesian printers withoby charleslow - Smoothie
Tim, did you have any luck creating the pins.h file? I also would like to use marlin to program the mightyboard. Thanks! Charles.by charleslow - General
Never used the Smart LCD controller from reprapdiscount on the Rambo but on the Rumba I discovered the silkscreen for the cable layout was completely messed up. The cable that is supposed to go to EXP1 goes to EXP2 and visa versa. And just to be sure to completely mess with your head, both cables need to be installed upside down. This just might get you where you want to be.by charleslow - Controllers
I am having huge problems with my mightyboard. Getting "Heating Failure #4" error. I also noticed the board isn't reading any temperature at all from the extruders. Makerbot support says to check the thermocouples. Did them one better and replaced both thermocouples. I was extra careful to connect the replacement thermocouples with the right polarity, so the leads are not reversed. Didnby charleslow - Controllers
That is EXACTLY what the Chinese say. I've worked over there quite a bit and they feel that America built it's wealth by stealing the intellectual property of others and building on the backs of slave labor, much of it Chinese. They feel it a national duty to retake some of this "stolen" wealth. Now of course, these are indoctrinated Communist Chinese, so the whole truth be dammed. Nonethelesby charleslow - General
The end of American 3d Printers. The Stratasys/Afinia Patent Infringement lawsuit will spell the end of any and all American 3d printer companies. The major US 3d printer companies, 3d Systems, Stratasys, etc. are cash strapped, Stratasys very much so. These companies, although American based, buy most of their parts from China. Now here comes Beijing TierTime Technology Company, Ltd, a manufby charleslow - General
I am having the EXACT same problem using the latest release of Marlin. Yup, they broke something important. "try running from a marlin commit from a few weeks ago to see if it works." I am running a RUMBA board with the Reprapdiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller and unfortunately I don't have an earlier version of the firmware to install. I need something from about 6 months - 1 year ago (eby charleslow - General
